We're glad to just stayed for one night to this hotel (originally planning to stay for two nights but they don't have extra room the next day). Start with the check in staff cant find our reservation so we have to wait until ok. They want us to pay $5 extra to check in early as we arrived 1:15 pm. We wait for 2 pm. Room very spacious, one light on the wall so kinda dark. Table lamp is not working, over all the room is old. Bathroom ok. The big disappointment!!! is the Wi-Fi, works for few minutes and then out, wait for half an hour then connect again. Around 10pm we can't really get any connections. Mid night TV frozen. It's a nightmare and the worst hotel we had for a two weeks in Vietnam. Since they don't have extra room so we book a night stay at SHINING SERENE HOTEL and it was the nicest and beautiful hotel. We are welcome with a delicious plate of mixed fruits and a watermelon juice and a cold towel that really relaxed us after a day of touring.Very 5 🌟 welcome!!! Room spacious nice and clean.

It is an old hotel...but, I stay there on every trip to Vietnam. Staff is great to work with, breakfast is included, priced right, and close to anything you want to do.

Great Value Hotel

We enjoyed the breakfast, it was the best hotel breakfast we had during our 3 week Vietnam trip. The pool was also very nice. This hotel is a great value for how little it costs.

Staff Hospitality was amazing. Ask the front desk what you want and they will direct you where to find it. In house restaurant service was great, especially 2 employees named Dung and Phuong

Old rooms and no good condition. Some rooms with heavy mold. The entrance is ok and good looking, but it does not coincide with the rooms. Rooms as small, and old wood beds. Bath room too small.

Don't stay at Gold Hotel

Don't stay at Gold Hotel. They tried to put us in a little dungeon on the ground floor. It was a dark, damp, dank and quite frankly depressing kennel. Our booking paperwork clearly said a room with balcony, pillow top mattress with Italian linen. Yeah right! We politely debated with reception to be moved. A real shame. Next room at least had a window! Dated, drab hotel. Avoid it.

Okay hotel

Try not to book hue tours with this hotel. The tour they offered was okay but not the best. I think there are tour companies in the backpackers area close by.

Fantastic value!

We stayed three nights here. The location was quiet yet close to many points of interest and restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the large breakfast buffet every morning. Bed was comfortable and bathroom large and clean. My only gripe was with the private car to Hoi An we booked through here. The driver's English was not good enough to answer questions and was at times hard to understand... and then he tried to sell us on going to a tailor for suits. Very disappointing, especially for the price we paid.

LOUSY HOTEL!

Nice hotel

The hotel was ok, disappointing to find again that the hotel description was not what is actually is. After having 2 prior poor experiences in hotels in Hanoi I was going to be fussy and demand what I had booked, what do you know it doesn't exist. 3 rooms later we settled on a room. Went into the restaurant to have lunch, not a soul insight however we were told fully booked! Went up to the cafe and no one to be found....ended up going for a walk to find a place to eat. Not happy that food was not available when there should have been 2 options available. Room was reasonably big but no where to sit. Beds were extremely hard.

Amazing!

Staff were wonderful, So friendly. They gave us a few extras as we were on our honeymoon and decorated the bed with roses. It was amazing!!! Food was wonderful. I couldnt recommend this place enough. Excellent value for money also.
