It was a peaceful, family friendly property. It's equidistant from Idabel and Broken Bow which was convenient for us. Our kids especially loved the pool and foosball table.
Nice and cozy - although disappointing that the pool was unusable due to maintenance. The pool was a main reason we chose this cabin, and especially our children were sad about it - after a warm 3,5 hrs hike in Beaver's Bend state park.
The cabin was everything we expected and very comfortable, nice and clean as well. The host was very pleasant and answered all my questions. I will definitely book again
The cabin was listed as sleeping 4. However, the loft area is inaccessible for adults unless youâre really little and can squeeze through a tight space and sleep on a mattress on the floor. The stair rail and the roof angle are too close together to access the area.
We booked for two nights at the Lonestar cabin. We left after one day.
Five main issues for feedback.
> We wanted to spend time near the fire pit. The whole time we were there it was smelling sewer that we had to go inside.
> Sufficient comforters not provided.
> We were locked out of the cabin for 30 mins due to issues unknown. However, owner was quick to catch up.
> Club house was closed and we did not know until we arrived.
> Sink was very dirty with mold spots.
You need to tell people that this cabin is very small and that the upstairs is for small children. My grown nieces had to crawl around and sit on there but to get down the stairs. As far as the outside it is very nice beautiful trees and fire pit very quiet. Iâd stay again but not in the cabin we had.
Nice property. Easy to communicate
It was our first time in a cabin, so one night was perfect. The hardest part was opening the gate. My sons enjoyed the get away. (about 20 minutes from "food" and approximate 30 minutes from the state park/activities)
We enjoyed staying three nights in the Lonestar cabin. Very cozy environment. However, the pool was a little warm, and the upstairs loft was too hot for the Teenagers. It seems the AC in the living room was not working 100%. The only outside light did not work, so we couldnt see well making our smores by the fire. Other than that, we had a great time.
We planned a last-minute overnight stay and this little cabin was the perfect place for our family. It was small, but was just enough space for us. The kids loved sleeping in the loft and enjoyed the campfire outside. Self check-in was very easy and convenient. We would stay here again.
I was skeptical that my family of 5 would work in this small cabin, but everything is very thoughtfully arranged. There was plenty of room (the loft is huge and perfect for kids). It was very clean and well stocked!
What a delightful cabin! Our teen is interested in tiny house living and the Lonestar tiny-house-like cabin was an awesome experience for our family to try! The loft is duck-in, which is fun for teens and kids but adults may find the crawl-in position inconvenient if staying longer than one night. Everything was VERY clean, kitchen was well stocked with knives, a cutting board, plus everything we needed and plenty of towels were provided. There was enough space in the downstairs bedroom to have a travel Pack & Play (small infant sleeper size, not full size) in the room with us. Cabin has two new AC units that kept us nice and cool with two additional stand fans upstairs. We were not hot at all, even when temps hit 89 degrees. Bring your own coffee K-cups for the kitchen Keurig coffee maker plus your own Kleenex if you want to have it. I brought an extra roll of paper towels, a box of Kleenex and 1 roll of toilet paper, all of which we used and were glad to have. (Small roll of paper towels and one roll of toilet paper are provided, no Kleenex.) Property was very quiet at night and felt private even though it was easy to get to.
If youâd like to experience a taste of tiny - but roomy, clean and comfortable - cabin living, stay here! We are already wanting to go back and book multiple cabins with cousins and friends!
The "Lonestar" was everything we needed and more! The cabin provided an awesome vacation experience.
Broken Bow is a great town to "get away" from the everyday craziness. Relaxing outdoor activities is just what a wanted. This weekend was all that and more! Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back!
The cabin was clean and perfect size for us, a family of 4. I absolutely loved the fact there was not a 2 night minimum stay due to the fact we were only in town for one night and hotels were booked. The only things we did not like is that the AC is too small for the space. It was terribly hot and everyone sweat all night. Same with the pool water temp. It was like a hot tub and unbearable to be in. I hope they get something figured out with that pool water because its a nice decent size pool that nobody can swim in. Lastly, bring your own coffee. There was extra sugar and few packs of creamer, but no coffee.
