The property was great. Minor issue when we arrived but Brian was very responsive and resolved our issue. The kitchen is well stocked with pans and dishes that allowed us to do a lot of cooking.
Our stay at this property was exactly what we were looking for and we had a fantastic time! It had everything you could need for a stay and the owner's instructions and local guidance was much appreciated and well thought out. We loved the ability to hike on the property without having to go to public land with other people and had great views of wildlife while sitting on the porch. We would certainly book again when we are back in the area!
Property was as described. We went for a ski trip and everyone enjoyed the property when we returned from the ski resort. I did a little hike around the property and it was very relaxing and quiet. The covered parking at the back door was a nice added feature. We had a 4x4 and an AWD. If you go during the winter make sure you have one also. We got a lot of snow so getting to the house you need one. Again great place with lots of room for family and friends. One more thing is that we got to see a moose on our way up 103 that we got pictures of while we stopped in the road as it was crossing the highway.
This home is great. Lots of room. Very clean. The kitchen is my dream kitchen. Very well stocked with everything you need to fix meals. Plenty of space to sit and watch TV or play a game. It has a nice fireplace to give it more of a cozy atmosphere. The beds a very comfortable. Overall we would love to stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We didnât have cell reception, but the WiFi worked great and we knew about the no reception in the information that was provided. It snowed while there, but the road to house was always bladed, I would definitely recommend 4x4 in winter months. We would definitely stay there again.
We chose this home because it was located in a central location so we could plan daily excursions to Vail, Frisco, Breckenridge, Idaho Springs and Denver. The host was excellent! We had a couple of questions and he got right back to us. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for our part of six. The beds were so comfortable. We had a blessed Christmas with my daughterâs family and two granddaughters. Ready to come back.
We came up to Idaho Springs for mu sons wedding. This property was perfect. There were deer on the property right up to the house almost every morning. The property was just the right size. We even got to go out on the upstairs balcony and take amazing pics of the stars
The layout of the property is as described and is very nice for large groups. The land is gorgeous and the seclusion is nice. However, we did have several issues. The host sent a message prior to arrival with the door code, which thankfully I screenshotted because my mom was going to arrive at the property first and I sent her the info. However, he also sent a PDF with information on how to disable the alarm. First off, itâs very strange to set an alarm on a place where you know where you will have renters. But itâs easy to disableâIF you have the instructions. There needs to be a specific message sent out warning guests that you will lose all signal partway on the drive up the mountain. If you donât save the PDF to your phone, there is no way to access the alarm instructions once youâre at the property. We had to drive all the way back down the mountain until we had signal again to get the information. The property was also not very clean. The oven and freezer both clearly havenât been cleaned in some time. I wiped up a water spill on the floor on our first day and the paper towel came up black. We also saw two mice run across the floor and there were mouse droppings in multiple areas. The place has so much potential but there is room for improvement. Also, when I asked if there was an iron or blow dryer, the host wasnât sure. Turns out they had both (which was great!) but if he had actually known, it would have saved us packing the extra items. We flew in.from Florida.
What a gem! My family thoroughly enjoyed the property and home .. quiet and away from the noise of the city with all the comforts of home.
Thanks Brian for hosting us!!
Had a great getaway. House was great, but is off the beating path. We travelled around the area and enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities. Phone service is sparse, internet useable, but slow. However, we enjoyed the much needed slower pace. Nice rooms and bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen for cooking.
The house has great views of trees and mountains. It has a trail that leads right up to the house and goes down to a running creek. Everything we needed was in the house and easily accessible. Our family enjoyed our stay.
This was everything we could have hoped for. The property is remote but close enough to Idaho Springs for grocery and gas runs. We took day trips to a few larger towns and Rocky Mountain National Park but spent most of our time exploring trails and hiking nearby. The kitchen is amazingly well-stocked and we took full advantage of that perk. We saw deer nearly every night and once a large herd of elk. I cannot stress enough how perfect and relaxing this location is if you're looking to get away. Communication with Brian was great, I never had a question go understand and he was so accommodating. We would very happily stay here again.
Relaxing, beautiful, close to town yet far from distractions
We enjoyed a family getaway there over 4 July visiting Idaho Springs where we could Whitewater raft, hike, ATV tour, mining tour, fireworks and family time. This place was perfect. We hiked behind the property some too. Great star gazing on the upper deck. Cell service for us was poor so I was glad I had screen shots of directions as well as my door code etc since I was âoff the gridâ there on property. We would recommend this place and enjoyed the town of Idaho Springs!
Property and house are both amazing!! We were able to hike on the property back to a waterfall area which was gorgeous. You do not have cell reception outside of the house (house had WiFi) but itâs nice to be able to disconnect from phones (especially when you have a teenage daughter!).
Brian was easy to get ahold of if we had any questions and responded. Would highly recommend this property to anyone!
The moment you walk in, the pictures donât do it justice. A very pretty well furnished home. Brian was easy to get a hold of and answered question we had. We had to cut our stay short because of the MAJOR snow storm that was coming in Wednesday afternoon and Thursday all day. We would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at this property for 4 nights and the stay was really good. Owner was very responsive and it was very quiet neighborhood. One small problem was that the internet speed, it was pretty slow and owner also did not know what was going on. Apart from that everything else was really cool.
