The worst VRBO experience I've ever had. Just stop working with Vacassa. The owner of this property does not care the condition. It was filthy and peeling paint. Very little usable glasses, knives or pots/pans in the kitchen. We all packed with the expecation that there was a usable washer/dryer. NOPE. Broken. Took Vacassa 48 hour to return our call and another full day to get a tech out. What a joke. And for what I paid? Just wow.
The property is perched on a hillside with a view of the lake and surrounding woods! Gorgeous! We had our privacy which is important to us. Our family enjoyed the ping pong and pool table! The Jacuzzi was clean and located on the back balcony, which is ideal. The master bathroom has a steam shower, absolutely wonderful. The house does have minor repairs that are needed that would enhance the stay. The house is located near Incline Village and a 13 min drive to Sand Harbor beach. Unfortunately Vicasa rental did not come with a IVGID pass to the private beach this time, would be great if it did. This was our second time renting from Vicasa and again upon check in time the cleaning crew was still there and impeded on our rental time, the house was not ready. However, upon check out they did accommodate a late check out, which was very helpful. Vicasaâs team is easy to reach and helpful. Keep Tahoe Blue my#leaveitbetterthanyoufoundit
The location is great with good view, but the house has many issues. This is the only Tahoe rental that we will never rent again.
1) Interior is very old - lights don't work, blinds are broken, master bath tiles are coming off, towel hanger is coming off the wall, several wires exposed (not sure any of them is hot!).
2) Kitchen - plates/cups are chipped, cookwares are very limited. There is not enough to make a simple family dinner, imo.
3) Hot tub - water was green!
4) Stairs - one of the step is detached and will come off anytime, super dangerous.
5) Carpet - living carpet has yellow stains, bathroom White carpet is grey!
The neighborhood is great and the house is big. The cleaning was delayed and when we arrived I barely figured out what was the code for the lockbox. It should be more organized and included all in one paragraph with the wifi name and password. It was all over the place. The sheets were stained same as some of the towels. Making lots of money and cant spend $200 on new towels makes no sense. Would I stay there again? No. Do I recommend it? No. I really hoped that it was clean and better. Just one extra blanket. I hope you guys take care of the cleaning and replace all the sheets and pillows with new ones.
We were very happy with the house and its location. The layout was perfect for our group, especially having the upstairs loft with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom for our 2 kids. The house was very clean. The refrigerator and other kitchen appliances were spotlessly clean. The management company was easily accessible and I was impressed with their responsiveness. I called them a few times about minor things. The wait time to talk with a representative was just a couple minutes. We had a plumbing issue with a toilet and I called them around 10 pm on a Friday night. They offered to send someone right over. I said it could wait until morning, but they followed up immediately by text message anyway, and we got it resolved. The house was stocked with an oversupply of bathroom towels. The kitchen had only 3 wine glasses and only one wash cloth. Stovetop cookware and dishes were adequate for our group, but short on some items like roasting pans and platters you would need for a holiday dinner. We are giving the house only 3 stars because it was infested with large miller moths. They were in all rooms and we had to continually remove live and dead ones. We even found a dead one in a coffee mug in the kitchen cabinet. I was worried we would end up finding one in our luggage when we got home, but thankfully that did not happen. There were also several spiders. We found one big gnarly one in the lower bedroom, and a few smaller ones in other rooms. At one time I was sitting on the red couch in the game room rocking the baby to sleep, and I found a baby spider crawling on his head.
