Needed a place for the night and this cozy little home was great to stay at. If you are looking for somewhere quiet to sleep, this is it! The owner is very kind.
It is what it says on the tin, a cozy bungalow. The house is half a duplex. The property is older but functional. No issues with AC and plenty of hot water made my stay restful. The location is a nice working family neighborhood but the amenities immediately outside of the neighborhood arenât great. No problems with delivery services, though.
All in all, if you are looking for a clean comfortable place to sleep and shower while youâre in Indianapolis the cozy bungalow is a good choice.
Great location with a 15 minute drive to my parking lot at Lucas Oil Stadium. Quiet neighborhood. It is older home with hardwood floors that creek but very clean. Easy to get in with code. The bed was very comfortable and sheets nice. Very cool with air conditioner and I slept great. Kitchen and bathroom small but perfect for my needs! Nice dining area to read and eat and loved having Netflix to catch my programs. It is older home so bring a drop cord multi outlet device. The neighborhood is historical and big porches with plants and decor. I loved the price, location and cozyness.
The property felt like it was going to collapse around us. The walls and floors were warped, and there was mold and decay in the bathroom and around the floor boards. We ended up buying pillows from a nearby Target, because the ones supplied in the bed were paper thin. If everything wasn't completely booked in town due to the Taylor Swift concert, I would have left after tr first night.
Floors felt like they would collapse into basement, bath knobs broken, window in shower rotten and flaking paint, mold in kitchen cabinet, dirty dishes in cabinet, bedroom carpet filthy-full of hair and debris, stairs from road to entryway are over grown with tree/bushes, pillows on bed old and dirty, sheer curtains in bedroom-allowing people to see in and neighbors lights to shine in all night.
Should not be rented in this condition.

Big mistake
Downtown hotels were pricey when I came to Indy so I took a chance on this little bungalow. Old houses don't bother me, but this house isn't just old, it's in bad shape. The neighborhood is questionable, but not scary. Mostly older homes, some run-down and some refreshed. The door code I was originally given didn't work, and then the host had to send me a new code. Whatever...it opened. It smells in there. It is musty and DEFINITELY has a hint of "old smoke". It was almost 90 degrees outside, and this home had 2 CHEAP, tiny window AC units, which weren't adequate. Running them caused tons of water to drip down the wall from condensation. I put a pot under 1 window and my cooler under the other. I had to empty them daily because they literally filled up. The wood trim in the bedroom and bathroom is so rotten it's literally crumbling. The shower window frame is rotten and moldy and has a clear window to outside with no curtain. There are ants in the kitchen and the cabinet below the sink is warped and rotten. And the front door (a French door) is MISSING A WINDOW PANE! There is just a hole there that any animal can crawl through! When I messaged the host she already knew about it and said they hadn't had a chance to replace it from when a past guest broke it. Who rents out a house with a hole in the front door? That's a huge safety issue! I use VRBO frequently and have never had an experience like this.
