The first night we had dinner at home. When we went to sit down at the table and chairs, the seats were fifty dirty. It looked as if children had eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and smeared them into the seat cushions. It was hard to even sit on the chairs. I immediately took pics and notified the manager. They claimed the renter before us left the house a mess.
The next morning, we went to take a shower and all the towels smelled funky, I mean really funky. We used them and hung they to dry just in case. The bed linens didn't smell fresh either so I went to home goods to buy some pillowcases and a comforter to use.
The next morning, we showered again, and this time the smell on the towels was even worst so I decided to just wash all the linens before using them again. Unfortunately, there was no laundry detergent anywhere in the home. We were told the house had back to back renters before us and the same day we checked out. How were they cleaning the linens with no detergent? The day of check out, I waited to see if the cleaning persons brought laundry detergent with them, just to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I saw none.
Lastly, we arrived on a Sunday, and the pool did not work until Tuesday evening and we were checking out on Wednesday morning.
This house seems to be renting back to back with very little care and upkeep being done in between. The furniture is older which is not a problem if it is being cleaned and maintained. When I spoke with management, I was told it was the fault of the guests before us. Hopefully, the guests after us were not told we were the problem when they checked in the same day we left!
