When we arrived to celebrate a 70th birthday, the place had not been cleaned and was in disrepair. Utensils were dirty; glass on the floor; pool & jacuzzi were covered in leaves. Description of the place said there was a BBQ but both propane tanks were completely empty. I called the host about the tanks and she said the cleaning people forgot to fill them. I told her there was glass on the floor, food crumbs all over the counter tops, & hair in the bathrooms. She said she would get right back to me after speaking with cleaners. SHE NEVER got back to us. We went elsewhere to celebrate. Wall paper was coming off the walls and carpets were filthy. Artificial grass on the outside was not secured down & my husband tripped twice. They put bricks on the grass to hold it down. Sliding screen by pool completely fell off when opening. My husband spent his time fixing it. The banister at the bottom of the stairs was missing pieces and you could not hold on as you came to bottom of stairs. Wall paper in the bedrooms was coming off the walls. Water in the home never got hot. Showers were hardly lukewarm and the jacuzzi never was above a slight warm. Washing dishes-difficult because of no hot water. If they advertise for 12, they must have knives, forks, spoons and glasses for 12 people. Very few forks and spoons. Dishwasher door was not aligned correctly & would not close. Windows were filthy and patio furniture was never cleaned with leftover food on them. Dirt and grime all over VRBO.
