This property has major safety issues, especially with the pool.The deep-end ladder was broken and laying on the ground. The pool suction outlet did not have a proper cover, creating a potential entrapment hazard. The pool depth was not marked anywhere. The pool also appeared to be missing at least one or two standard safety features expected for a short-term rental.The pool was advertised as heated to 85F but was mostly 79â82F, possibly warming briefly between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. It only reached 85F for about a day and a half. We spent much of our stay contacting the owner about the temperature. After being allowed a late checkout when it finally warmed up, we woke up to find the heat turned off and the pool cooling down again.We were required to pay the pool heating fee through Venmo, which is against VRBO policy. Guests should not be asked to send money outside the platform.There were also undisclosed exterior cameras at the property.Other concerns included heavy lint buildup in the dryer (fire hazard), missing door seal, extremely dim front entry light, dirty oven vent, dirty BBQ with no propane, minimal kitchen supplies for 10 guests, only three pool towels provided initially, and only two bath towels in the master with no hand towels or washcloths.Our 500 damage deposit was not returned until VRBO intervened.Overall, the safety concerns and policy violations made this a stressful stay.
