Nice cabin, excellent outdoor space and deck. Beautiful little lake, saw loons, swans, turtles frogs and more. Great communication and response from owners. Heads up (or down) for tall people, doorways are low. But overall, a great stay.
My friend and I stayed here for a week. Itâs such a cute, clean little cabin! It was such a peaceful stay! Itâs not terribly far from the sleeping bear dunes and we made the drive to torch lake not a bad drive! We really loved staying here we spent most of our time on the back porch looking at the lake! Would definitely love to come back! The only thing I did not realize when booking is there is no AC. I brought a fan just in case. They have many fans in the cabin and it stays pretty cool.
Perfect location for visiting family in the area. Cabin was quiet and comfortable. The hosts (Rob and Mary) thought of everything we might need and sure enough it was there. The provided kayaks were a big hit!
The cabin was small but clean and well equipped, the perfect size for three adults. The location was exceptional! It's right on the lake, which was gorgeous and quiet, and we saw lots of wildlife. Loons were regular visitors to the dock! It was chilly so we spent lots of time by the fire and kayaking or just hanging out on the dock, reading and enjoying the beauty. We thoroughly loved our stay! Rob and Mary were warm and receptive to any inquires. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful cabin. We loved it and we hope to return!
A friend and I enjoy hiking and exploring new areas. We loved the location of this home. It was clean, efficient, and peaceful. First night we listened to the Loons echo across the lake. Unfortunately, we had rainy/windy weather on the other nights that prevented us from hearing them. However, did see one swimming near our cabin. Would highly recommend this cabin for small groups or family.
We had a wonderful time staying at this cozy lakefront cabin in Interlochen.
We enjoyed bonfires, kayaking, swimming, and grilled meals over a relaxing vacation for 6 days. The cozy lakefront cabin was just perfect for us!!
The hosts are very thorough and easy to communicate with and the cabin was exactly as described. We highly recommend renting this cabin!
Small but lovely cottage! The bed was so comfy and cottage had everything we needed! The lake is great for kayaking but swimming took some work getting past the mucky bottom at the shore and dock/ladder area. Clearing the vegetation would improve the value and experience but we know itâs a lot of work!
Rob and Mary were great to work with
This cabin was very peaceful and quiet. We could hear and watch the loons everyday during our stay! The hosts also made sure we had firewood and propane in the grill. The bed and chairs were comfortable as well. It was also decorated nicely and it felt very homey. I would happily stay here again!
We loved everything about this cabin! The location and lake view was very relaxing. My husband did some fishing and I enjoyed having coffee on the porch every morning. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners communicated promptly & were helpful. We would love to stay again in the future!
We had such a wonderful time at this cabin. My husband, baby, and I were attending a wedding up north and extended our stay to explore Interlochen, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear, and several smaller towns. The location can't be beat. We ate at a great diner and brewpub closeby - both were some of our tops places the whole trip.
The cabin is perfect. Very cozy. Most of our time at the cabin was spent outside enjoying the dock and firepit. The hosts provide everything you need and more. There were several times I thought "I wish I had this..." only to find it in a cabinet or bin closeby.
We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
Thoughtful, well appointed cabin in tranquil setting. Close to Interlochen, lots of trails nearby to explore. Peaceful soundtrack of loons. Would definitely return!
This is a great cabin for a small family that enjoys the outdoors. The layout of the cabin is functional and provides ample privacy for sleeping. The lake is small and private which allows for a peaceful cup of coffee on the dock and calm waters for a kayak ride.
Fun and conveniently located for us, the cabin had both activities in its dock, kayaks, bikes, and fishing poles, and charming local memorabilia and games. The fire wood was great. I think that we used everything and we were still very close for picking up our teenager at Interlochen and to good restaurants and activities. I would recommend using both sit-on-top kayaks as it took some work to clean out the sit-in. The neighbors to the East were quite loud, but not intrusive. We believe we left a small clothe bag in the cabin; sentimental value, but otherwise not too important.
This was a perfect spot for our family! Thoughtful amenities, splendid atmosphere and cozy interior! Super easy to find, and nestled in the middle of all our favorite spots!
We checked into the cabin with no issues at all. We knew that it was a small cabin, but neat, clean and everything worked. The weather was chilly so we had to fire up both electric heaters, and they did the job but clearly it would have been marginal if it was much colder.
The setting is beautiful. While you can clearly see the neighbors, the location is quiet and clean. Which is what we were looking for. A cold front had just come through so that slowed down the fishing quite a bit, but the water is clear and beautiful. As it was chilly, we avoided the kayaks. A small row boat would be a great addition to this place though. We tried to rent a boat, but could not arrange anything on short notice.
Interlochen is very close, so we were able to access anything we needed very quickly. And when the weather was bad we took some car trips around the area as there is a lot to see.
All in all, we certainly enjoyed our time and I was happy to see that the lake has not changed much since the last time I visited it decades ago.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was extremely well equipped, everything we needed was there. We loved the setting on Cedar Hedge Lake. The place felt like a classic summer cabin. Tall people need to be careful going through doorways! We were there for a break in a month-long road trip and the place was perfect for unwinding for a few days. We appreciate the ownersâ sharing this lovely property.
We stayed five nights around the time of camp pick up. The setting is so wonderful- the quiet lake with a dock and boats is very swimmable and soul-fulfilling. The deck is perfect for sitting and taking zoom calls. We really loved it. But two things: it is small. Really small. The nautical theme was charming but also perfect because they really lean into the âitâs like youâre on a boatâ vibe. It worked for us and our very close friends but it was close quarters. Also be aware there is no AC. But with all the windows open and fans going it was fine even though it was very hot and humid. Overall it was a very well provisioned unit with everything you could want or need, and I would definitely stay there again if I was there alone or just my spouse. Itâs ok for young kids too.
This house was perfect for our family trip to Michigan! It wasn't huge but we spent most our time exploring the nearby beaches / rivers, and outside building fires, grilling, kayaking and swimming on the lake. House was well stocked with beach blankets, towels, fishing poles, kayaks, bikes...
