One night in private room.
Handle of the bath/wc door was written as broken and you could get locked inside if alone. Was badly fixed with tape ! Should be fixed permanently as it is a hostel ! One window did not close.
Otherwise, good for youth hostel. Parking on site and walking distance of city center, shared kitchen and breakfast continental available
The hostel was located close to the nearest grocery store, so that was convenient, but it's a bit of a walk from the train station if you're planning to carry lots of luggage. The single room was adequate, but very basic. The kitchen was very good, although the system of tagging food was different (I've been to hostels where they provide baskets that you tag with your food, not tagging every single item).
Be aware that this facility often hosts large student groups who may well disturb your nightime peace and sleep. Otherwise, staff are excellent and while the 70s building is dated the place is tidy, clean and has a remarkably well equiped kitchen. Suggest reserving an ensuite bath if you travel as a couple.
Great staff. Good kitchen. Refillable bottled water fountain available. Convenient location with plenty of parking. Spacious lounge. Breakfast available. Only drawback, rooms are not very well insulated so can be noisy. I always carry earplugs so I can sleep.
Ho preso una camera singola con il bagno privato ed era molto bella, accogliente, spaziosa e pulita, se dovessi tornare a Inverness ritorni sicuramente qui, consigliato assolutamente!
Great location, nice and peaceful and calm but easy walking distance from the station and the town. The hostel had a lovely quiet calm atmosphere. The staff at reception was very friendly. The communal areas and facilities were spacious and very well equipped. The room was naturally basic, as expected, but comfy and clean and well appointed with things like sockets/USB points and bedside tables with reading lamps. I would stay here again.
