Room was nice, stayed in sea view suite. Bathroom was nice, water was lukewarm, apparently boiler issue was fixed next day. On another day we had no water out of tap, shower or toilet. Was fixed that day. Chairs in room were changed for no apparent reason. Pool is nice but narrow maybe 4ft deep. Other pool more like a jacuzzi with no jets not heated but refreshing. Pool towels super thin and small no use. Beach towels not provided while North shore beach is only a 6 min walk! Did not eat at the property ca not comment on food. Stay was ok considering the price we paid. However I brought my noise cancelling headphones and placed them in their case under the shelf on the makeup mirror. Chair was in front of it. Not clearly visibly, and they disappeared. Checked luggage room several times no luck! Went downstairs and try to report this incident, was told no such form no such page on website. Wrote up my own incident report and had them sign it. Gave them a copy! Was told to check WhatsApp. Signed in and was asked questions but did not receive any answers to mine. The hotel is nice, the view beautiful, the water issues not ideal the beach and pool towels lacking! People in and out of your room without a heads up not acceptable! The service for potential problems that need attention non existent!! Sadly will not return, items should not disappear from room and a shoulder shrug from the front desk, as a solution is unacceptable!!

We arrived around 10:00 pm and the staff were very friendly. Our room was great. The bed was very comfortable. We had a mini fridge which was a wonderful as we could keep beverages cold on those hot days. The balcony was a great size and we had a side view of the ocean. Breakfast was included in our package. You had the option of juice and coffee and for the meal, you have either a fruit plate or delicious buns, you could order eggs (scrambled, over easy, etc); pancakes, or quesadilla. Would recommend this place.

We upgraded to a 'VIP' room (for an additional price) so we could have an ocean-facing room. Not sure what all the other rooms were like (although we met many new friends who said they stay there 'every time we come to Isla!')....but our room was awesome! Large bathroom with beautiful, open shower, large bedroom with king bed (more firm than I normally like, but I slept great!), and a large patio with jacuzzi.

The room was spacious, but didn’t have curtains that block all the light. One window didn’t have curtains at all and it was very bright at night making it difficult to sleep with all that light from the street. The mattress was as super hard. The worst part was the shower and toilet had no water pressure and it never got even warm. Had to take a shower with almost no water and cold. At times the water would not even run a would have to wait for it to be back. Someone did come to try to fix it but it didn’t work whatever he did. The other thing when they cleaned the room they didn’t replaced the towels with clean ones. We had to let them know to bring us clean towels. The balcony was very nice but needed to have a table. It only had 2 chairs. It would’ve been convenient to have a small table to place our drinks and food. The view from our room was great and the location. If they can improve on the previously mentioned things it can be a great place to stay.

Wins: - Location: You are directly on the ocean, with a great view and an awesome spot to enjoy the ocean breeze. You are within walking distance of El Centro and our personal favorite, the Malecon (walking path on the east side of the island). - Staff: All staff were great. - Breakfast: We paid to have breakfast included. It was enjoyable each morning with an option to have a little variety. They do have a $40 pesos per person charge for your server, even after you pay for breakfast to be included. - Room: The room was nice and clean. The rooms are very large, which is nice, but they could benefit from having a small kitchenette with a microwave. Opportunities: - Noise: As others have shared, noise can be a factor from other rooms. For two nights of our stay, the guests next to us set an alarm for 5:00 am and we heard the buzzing of their phone go off for 10 minutes each time, before the alarm would time itself out. Not the ideal way to wake up each morning on a relaxing vacation. - Seating on the balcony: Two chairs were available on our balcony, but they weren't particularly comfortable for long sittings. The balconies would benefit from adding a small table so you could eat, play cards, etc. and two loungers to lean back, nap, and enjoy the ocean sounds. The four loungers by the pool, fill up quickly and people tend to camp at them for the day. - Flood Light at Parador Fotográfico was extremely bright and points direct at the hotel. Bring an eye mask.

The room was clean, the AC worked great, and the staff was amazing. My only negative comment is that the bed was extremely firm. It may have just been ours, but I didn’t sleep well because it wasn’t comfortable for me.

Comfortable bed. Smart TV. Service was outstanding from coffee in the morning at the restaurant and asking for extras from housekeeping. Every employee we encountered was friendly and greeted us with a smile. Check in was quick and we were escorted to the room. Highly recommend the ocean view which was just "WOW". AC worked well and we even had a ceiling fan. LOCATION is THE BEST for the price! I highly recommend this hotel.

AC temp was great, we had a partial view which was beautiful. Room was large but sparse decor and furnishings made it a far from cozy. Staff was lovely. An espresso machine in room may be fine for some but we had to go downstairs for a regular coffee and they were unable to make change for a 20.00 bill which was surprising. Also coffee was expensive and we had to bring our own cups down to fill. Other than that I would highly recommend The Mint. Pools were small but lovely. View amazing, beach lovely but not swimmable. Short walk to shops and lovely, swimmable beach.
