Loved the location and we had a great visit! Wild dunes and surrounding area is amazing - close to Charleston for a day trip too. More information around what we had access to at wild dunes would have been helpful ahead of time.
Everything was perfect. Pool was near by. Beach was an easy 6 minute walk as others had mentioned. I did not have to find my way to beach since my daughters did it within 30 minutes of arriving. Easy walk through a couple of neighborhoods once you know where you are going. You will need to bring your own beach towels. Everything in side was nice and felt very safe. Felt safe enough to let my teenage daughters to walk to the beach while I did a few hours of work before meeting up with them
Overall, we really enjoyed our three-day stay at this property. There is an easy walk of about 4-6 minutes to the beach. While we did not take advantage of the pool, it is nearby and looks well-maintained. The villa was spotless. The great room is tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture. Supplies in the kitchen are more than adequate. However, the description of "Recently updated with modern furniture and amenities." is a bit of a stretch. My husband and I slept in the master bedroom. While we like a firm mattress, it was so hard and low that I woke with an aching back each morning. It was right on wood slats. We checked the other mattresses and they were comfortably firm. Paint is pealing in the bathrooms. Some maintenace is definitely needed. The toilet roll holder was hanging in the second bathroom and, eventually, came off the wall. Two of the can lighting fixtures were hanging. A lower kitchen cabinet door hung when opened. When I opened the bottom drawer of the inexpensive bureau in the master bedroom, the front of the drawer fell off. We were disappointed that the small balconies were off the bedrooms rather than the great room and thus we did not take advntage of them.
