I had to cancel my reservation due to being diagnosed with cancer a week before my trip and the host would not refund my my stay. I was willing to submit medical documentation but still unwilling. I also asked for credit for a future stay and was denied.
Hosts were very responsive. View was exceptional! Condo was clean and well supplied. Very nice towels and plenty of them!! Kudos for having a swing on the balcony.
Unit was clean, kitchen had all we needed, beds & pillows were very comfortable. We had an ocen view and view of the pool on the property. Easy check in and communication was quick from the host.
The view and the sound of the waves - what more do you need?! Communication was top notch - there was not even any question re: door code, password, check out procedures, etc., I love how open and easy it was! The area is Beautiful!
The pride and location were really good comparatively to other properties in Wild Dunes Resort. It was the perfect size for an family of four. The only reason I did not give it a five was because the photos are almost all different from the actual place. The furniture in the hallways and living room was way different. So even the main, lead photo looks a littler nicer. Still they had a king bed and two twins which was really all I cared about. So in the end it was not a dealbreaker or bad review or anything. Again, the location and price are definitely worth it. But be prepared for the place to look a little different if youâre expecting what you see in the photos. (I should have taken photosâŠbut we checked out and I totally forgot to.
We loved it. Pool was perfect as was the beach. Thanks for having chairs for the beach. From other reviews people said beds were uncomfortable,,,,not correct , beds were very comfortable. Condo had lots of accessories etc. will definitely come back to IOP. Couch was a little hard but it worked out.
Condo was a nice unit with one big exception. The front door does not lock properly. It was in fact open when I arrived. That night i tried to lock the door but the dead bolt DOES NOT LOCK! I thought maybe that had something to do with the code on the door so i used the chain lock. At 1:45 am someone opened/shoved the door as far as the chain lock would allow (from the outside). The noise made was loud enough to wake me. I slammed it shut and used a chair to secure as best as i could. I could not find a number anywhere in the paperwork for "Security" to notify them. Perhaps you should include that info in future bookings. Also i called/texted the Vacasa number to get the pool gate code and was told none was needed, which was not true. Other guests had a code and was able to use the pool, but not my family. Perhaps you should include that info as well. I noticed in a past rating that the front door lock issue was mentioned and obviously NEVER FIXED. By ignoring this issue, guests are put at risk (can you say "potential lawsuit ?) That alone is why I would NEVER book this condo again!
We have stayed at many VRBOâs overtime and this one was probably our least favorite, unfortunately. It is in a gated community called wild dunes, which is nice. It feels very safe. However, this property is all the way at the tip of the island and the condo itself sits relatively far back from the ocean, although you can see the ocean. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on in my life. The living room furniture was awful and so uncomfortable, it also had a bad odor similar to furniture that was stored in the garage for 10 years, also it was dirty. There was no carpet in the condo which we did like, however, the area rugs seemed similar to outdoor rugs and were so uncomfortable to walk on. There was a bit left to be desired w/ cleanliness. The screen door looked like a barn door and was filthy. There was no deadbolt on the front door and we had to give the front door an extra shove to make sure it locked securely. The only other safety parameter on the front door was a chain. We actually put a chair in front of the door at night time and thank goodness we did because the maintenance man tried to enter the property in the morning with no notice. He was yelling through the door, my husband said can I help you? We are staying at this condo for another few days⊠Thatâs when the maintenance man realized he was at the wrong door and apologized. For the amount of money that we spent on this condo we definitely expected more. We will not be back.
Because of flight delays we did not arrive until 11:pm. The property was very hard to find in the dark. There was no support to help us find it. The person we talked to on the Vasca help line was not helpful at all. After searching for our place in the snow and ice, we finally found it. Signage was very small and inconspicuous
Had never been to isle of palm . This location is quite a ways out , right in the beach .
With the weather (80âs) we were surprised the pool was not open . The unit was comfortable , great beds, linens and towels . They are in need of wine glasses .i did let management know but they said they do not supply .
Since we were driving into Charleston everyday,i might stay closer in next time , although great if your there to enjoy the beach .
Nice property, cleaned and close to the beach. The one thing that stood out is when we checked in for our fall break vacation the pool was closed and we were not notified of it prior to arrival. Even when we booked it showed that the pool was open. After our vacation we sent a message about it and the property management never even had the courtesy to reply back. Poor communication.
It was a nice property however it did need a little refurbishment in several areas. Most of the ceiling had mold and so need some attention. The swing bench on the porch also is loose and ready to break on one side.
Beautiful condo, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, front deck with the swing was our favorite place with views of the ocean. Had issues with the front door keypad and management responded immediately. Quiet community and beach, which we loved.
