The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We had multiple rooms for visiting with lots of seating. The AC upstairs was not working, and one bedroom was very hot at night. There were individual units upstairs, but none in one bedroom. We were using all bedrooms, so this was frustrating. We were also very disappointed to find out that the workers within the resort do not treat you like other guests... if you rent from other renters. We heard different costs for the pickle ball courts, (one day we had to pay 10/person, and then the next day she said I would have to reserve a court for 75!). They would not allow us to take our 20 month old grandchild to the splash pad at the pool. One day he could go, the next day they said no. We never got the same answer from the workers. They also said we couldn't buy a day pass for him just to walk around on the splash pad. It is frustrating to pay to be in the resort at such a high fee and then not be able to utilize the amenities of the resort. The house is great, but I'm wondering if it would be better to rent through another company and another house that allowed you to actually participate/utilize the amenities in the resort.
This house is truly a 4 minute walk to a very nice spot on the beach. It also met our needs well for spreading out with the screen porch, pool and great room.
My family met up for a long weekend and The Lazy Palm was the perfect spot! Close to the beach, a private plunge pool in the yard, and plenty of room in the house for our big family!
We had a wonderful time in Isle of Palme. There was plenty of activities and beautiful surroundings. The house was gorgeous and very conveniently located to the beach and restaurants. The pool was a great addition after the beach to cool off! The accommodations couldnât have been better! We highly recommend a visit with family or friends.
The house is beautiful, but the HVAC was broken for our entire stay. The management company had us run through steps to resolve the issue ourselves, then sent a team member 2 days, before finally sending an HVAC tech on our last day, who confirmed it was broken and did not have the part to fix it. Both thermostats showed messages saying the units were overdue for service. Our guests left early because it was too uncomfortable to sleep. I cant recommend renting any unit managed by itrips. Very disappointing.
We stayed here for my sisterâs bachelorette trip and had a wonderful stay. The home was as nice in person as it looked in the pictures and a great place for a group trip. If youâre looking to stay somewhere near Charleston it was a bit of a trip to get into the city but the home is in a beautiful area with plenty to do. The only complaint we had is that there were no extra blankets around the house and they only supplied you with a âstarter supplyâ of toilet paper for the stay.
The Lazy Palm was everything we hoped it would be. Very clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious. Eight family members spent a fun 6 nights celebrating Christmas and News Years. The TV/game room downstairs was a plus for our gamers and football fans! There were 7 tvs including one on the and screened in porch. Kitchen was well arranged with plenty of eating space to include a formal dining room. The pictures potrayed were an accurate depiction of the home. Outside was beautifully landscaped and sitting area provided a great spot for our Christmas photo with beautiful palm trees as a background. The plunge pool added to the landscape even though weather was too cool for a dip. We would definitely return in the summer for a chance to use it! A great time in a lovely home.
We loved our stay at the lazy palm! The house was more than expected. Most times the pictures are better then the house but in this case the house is better then the pictures. Very clean and spacious.
This house was great! It was in a quiet neighborhood and short walking distance to the beach. There was a storm and the pool and yard was cleaned up the next morning while we were at lunch. Owner was prompt and helpful with anything needed. Would stay here again!
So far the best vacation house we have stayed in! is 4 4-minute walk from the beach. I am super picky with cleaning and the house was incredibly clean! So much space and the garage is super nice to hang out. We had two issues: internet: we only had internet for half of the first day, and that was a bummer. We were planning to watch the Olympics when was time to chill out after lunch, a family member from Brazil was without 5g meaning no phone at all. They sent people to work on the garden While we were at the house, the guy spent around 2 hours there and even entered the area of the pool. But overall we tried to handle the bumps and had a great time!
We have had the most wonderful stay! This home is just perfect! The furnishings and decor are so beautiful! We hardly wanted to leave during our stay and we were more than a little sad to have to go home. If we could give this rental more than 5 stars we would. We canât wait to come back!
Beautiful home!
Lots of room! Loved the side porch for morning coffee. Close walk to beach and pool was nice in evening while grilling out!
We golfed at Wild Dunes, rode bikes a lot,
Played tennis and pickle ball.
Great Family time!!
Spectacular, family-friendly oasis close to the beach
We had a wonderful experience with this property. House was well-organized, communication was great, and the design and amenities were excellent. We would love to stay here again.
We stayed for spring break with our family, 4 kids ages 3-8, and had a great time. The house is extremely clean, well decorated, comfortable and accommodating. Iâd recommend staying here for family or couples vacation. All around a great house, weâll be back!
Pros:
(1) House is exactly like the pictures its a big place
(2) Check in is a breeze
(3) Two minutes to the beach
(4) Super quiet - secluded location (in a neighborhood)
(4) Lots of space in the house
(5) Nice appliances
(6) Beach towels provided
(7) Nicely decorated.
(8) Beds were ok, a little hard.
Cons:
(1) The lightbulbs in the house (in the lamps) are "daylight" type bulbs and are BLINDING when you turn on any light switch. They are not soft white. Which makes it really uncomfortably bright. Every room had them. The bedroom was so bright we couldn't even read. It was so bright with those daylight bulbs.
(2) The AC was weird. It never was the temp you set it on, so we had to deal with that.
(3) There are NO curtains in the kitchen and 6 windows going across the whole room and the neighbor can see straight inside. If you don't mind someone being able to see straight in. I did because sometimes you are in your pajamas or whatever.
(4) The kitchen is in desperate need of some serving trays, serving utensils (other than cutlery).Mixing bowls
(5) The pool was not cleaned and was super dirty (I have pictures) so we never got to use it. Kinda the whole point of getting a house with a pool.
First impressions walking in were:
quiet, wooded, safe area and nicely separated from neighboring homes.
well maintained and freshly painted house.
spacious 1st floor area with large kichen and eating areas.
large TV's in all the rooms.
screened porch with large TV very nice to relax in at night.
pool just outside lower level just large enough to cool off and relax in.
All in all we loved this place. If we had the money we would make an offer to buy it.
