The good: Excellent location, great/responsive communication by the host, clean sheets and towels, good sleeping arrangement, and a bonus hot tub and backyard.The unexpected: This place is clearly run through by many bachelorette parties (evidenced in the guest book). Significant wear and tear should be expected.The bad: The house is very overdue for some handyman attention and new cleaners - and these current cleaners are quick to collect additional money for pet cleaning.We appreciated the welcome gift, and the local amenities. If I were with my family again, we would not choose to stay here. If I were with a group of friends, it would probably work out.

This home with separate apt was perfect for our entire family! Melissa was quick to respond to our multiple questions. The welcome gift was most welcomed by our adult kids. The toys/movies and backyard was perfect for our littles. So many comfy rooms to visit and play in! The decor was amazing! The kitchen had everything we needed. Super easy 1 block walk to the beach. Beds and linens super comfy! Stay here!

Bedrooms and beds were wonderful! Downstairs living space was”chopped up”. Living area downstairs wasn’t comfortable and eating area was very small. Kitchen was great as were all the utensils/plates/ cookware. Front yard needs work and backyard chairs were not comfortable. Space in backyard was great!

This property had a fantastic location, a great outdoor space, and plenty of space for three families. The host was incredibly responsive and went out of her way to make our stay memorable (between welcome and departure gifts as well as accommodating a later check out due to us being rained out the whole weekend). I wish we could have stayed longer / could have gotten to enjoy the property to its true potential!

The house is conveniently located and kitchen and baths are well-stocked. The beds are very comfortable. A welcome gift and a departing gift were thoughtfully provided. The back yard space is really nice with lots of seating. The pics on the vrbo site are old. In the pic, the trees are at or below the fence line, but they are twice that tall and provide great privacy. The lounge chairs in the pic are not the ones there now, and the chairs now are hard surface and could use cushions. An outdoor fan would be greatly appreciated to really enjoy the space in the heat of the summer. A trashcan in the outdoor space would also be a plus. The dining area off the kitchen with the long table and chairs depicted in the photos is now a sitting area…so no indoor dining other than the small table in the kitchen. The colorful decor is great, and the bedrooms are roomy. While the owner is greatly responsive to all inquiries, the house and yard could use some maintenance. The “cushions”on the bench seat in the kitchen are faded and have lost the cushion and are in dire need of replacement. The front yard is trimmed but otherwise neglected with sparse mulch in the beds and more weeds and dirt than any grass. The back yard is astroturf and looks great. We couldn’t find the beach chairs so glad we took our own. The house is roomy and a block off the beach. Some of the outdoor furniture, front and back, just looks tired and needs cleaning, painting, cushioning or replacing.

The host (Melissa) was responsive, check in and check out were easy, and the home was very clean on arrival. The house is located a block away from the beach which was really beautiful (clean and warm water temperature), and it was very easy to get into Charleston for a you're of the city. Overall, it was a lovely getaway and I would definitely recommend Isle of Palms for a vacation getaway.

Weekend Getaway

Location was perfect for a beach week! Totally recommend paying a company to place beach equipment for you. The house was fairly clean, it is hard to keep a beach house totally clean. The humidity level in the house is pretty high, and the AC has a hard time keeping up at certain points of the day. The outdoor space was great, and it is really all worth it if you plan on going to the beach every day. Beds are comfortable as well.

Incredible location and beautiful home

First of all, this property was spotless. It felt like walking into a new home. Cleanliness is very important to me, and this was likely the cleanest place I have ever stayed at through a VRBO. The location was amazing - a short walk to the beach. The house was decorated beautifully, although I did not see much of it because I brought my 16 1/2 year old dog who cannot go up the stairs. So, I was basically confined to the downstairs, which was lovely. It was great for my dog - the yard is completely fenced in, has an outdoor shower so that I could rinse him off after the beach, and the floors are not slippery. Also, the host was incredibly quick to respond and very polite. I would definitely stay here again!

The perfect house for an family vacation

Perfect Bachelorette house

Stayed here with a total of 11 girls and we had plenty of space. We never felt crowded and the location of this house is so ideal. Short walk to the beach and a grocery store near by. The house is beautifully decorated and we loved the backyard area. Wonderful home. Would stay here again.

The perfect house for our large family vacation.

This house has it all plus more!!! The location, the layout, the rooms, that backyard(just wow), the walk to the beach was so short!!! Plenty of parking. Pet friendly. All the amenities plus special touches throughout made our stay fantastic. Looking forward to booking again

Perfect Place!

Oh my goodness! This was my first time to the Charleston area, however we had a few friends with us that visit Isle of Palms often. All 9 of us ladies had the most wonderful stay in "The Freida House," as we called it. The communication with the host was prompt and helpful. The little touches from the welcome gift to even a special parting gift were heartwarming. The beds were so comfortable and we especially loved the day beds which worked out well for our bachelorette party. The house never felt overcrowded with 9 of us staying there. There were plenty of towels, a fully stocked kitchen (utensils, dishes, pots/pans). The backyard was an oasis in itself even with the beach being a 3 minute walk across the street. The location is perfect - not too far down the island and super close to the grocery store, restaurants and shops. I cannot wait to bring my family back to this beautiful place and will definitely rent from this host again!

Fantastic

beautiful house and well kept. outdoor space was as perfect as indoor. thoughtful notes everywhere and tons of things to do. short walk to the beach and ample beach gear ready to borrow. nothing needed and we all had a fantastic stay. 2 small suggestions... reminder about check closer to the check in date and more first aid supplies. that aside, which were super small and easy to handle, we love love loved the house.
