The hotel felt a bit dated and though the room was large with a balcony, it looked out on the rooftops of other buildings. No real view. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sultania. The hotel was a bit less luxury than we thought from the website, but the room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect if, like us, you want to be able to visit and revisit the old city and its monuments. What makes the Sultania stand out is the staff - they could not have been more helpful, from making bookings and answering questions to seeming genuinely pleased to see us as we came and went. I hope to be back very soon!

We stayed at Hotel Sultania for 6 days during our visit to Istanbul, and overall, it was a very good experience. The staff truly stood out — everyone we encountered was extremely polite, helpful, and courteous. From the front desk to housekeeping and the breakfast team, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The location is excellent, putting us close to many of the city’s main attractions, which made exploring Istanbul very convenient. The stay itself was pleasant, but it’s worth noting that the hotel is on the older side and could benefit from some renovation. Some of the devices and amenities felt a bit outdated, and updating these would definitely enhance the overall guest experience. Despite this, the warm hospitality and attentive service made our stay memorable. We would recommend Hotel Sultania to anyone looking for a friendly and central place to stay in Istanbul — just keep in mind that it might not have the most modern facilities.

This is such a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location in the city. It's away from the main road so very quiet. The staff are AMAZING! They go above and beyond, and they are super friendly. It is an absolute gem all round and within walking distance of a station and all the main attractions.
