Charming and comfortable house in a great location in quiet neighborhood, but easy walking to downtown Ithaca. Our host Jeremy provided clear instructions, and check-in / check-out were super simple. We had a great stay with a nice little snow storm, and Jeremy made sure the sidewalk, steps and porch were cleared very quickly.
The house is in an excellent location, the surfaces were clean, and there are many considerate touches such as plenty of tables and chairs, extra blankets, an air conditioner and fan in every bedroom. However, much of the house is cluttered. There is very expired and open food in the refrigerator and pantry and at least 10 bottles of open shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Both rooms are also completely full with other assorted clutter and used items so that there is no room to put anything you bring. Also, bring your own bed pillows.
Location is great and check in/out was easy, but like most of the homes in the neighborhood it is old, with old home problems. If you want modern and spotless, this isnât it. Slightly musty, slightly dusty, uneven floors and ceilings, doors that donât shut easily, but at least the water pressure in the shower was good.
We stayed for just one night, and most of us didnt want to use the shower. Was not very clean, low maintained, old house. Was OK for our needs, not more than that
Went with family to visit my son at Ithaca College. Walking distance to a number of restaurants and the commons. Plenty of space to hang out together or have some private time. Porch swing is awesome.
Stayed with my family to visit my daughter at Cornell. Very clean, easy check in and check out, quiet neighborhood and lots of supplies. Very close to everything including the school which was fantastic. Owner very communicative and friendly. I would 100% stay again!
Group of 6 recent graduates returned to Ithaca and enjoyed our stay in the Fall Creek neighborhood. For the Ithaca housing and short-term rental market, this was one of few available options in the Downtown Ithaca area and provided a very pleasant stay. The host provided plenty of linens and answered all of our questions. Home could have been slightly cleaner but that is only a mild con. Perfect to sleep 6 (could even squeeze a few more if needed) and would recommend to anyone!
Spent two nights here with my teen for a visit at Ithaca College. House was clean and decorations were unique. Each room had its own character. Short drive to everything and a quiet neighborhood.
Location was ideal, size was good. I liked the setup of the front door lock and had it been warmer weather, would have loved to use the front porch swing. Definitely older overall but we werenât looking for luxury and I think it was appropriately priced. Felt like someone lived there when itâs not being rented, which I understand but some personal items (specifically bathroom) could have been stored away. Overall we would stay there again.
The house was roomy, beds comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed for an overnighter. Really nice place for the price. If you are a neat freak, it may not be perfect for you, but acceptable. The cleaner just forgot to empty the coffee pot and check the dishwasher. A couple items needed to go through again.. Hey, it happens. Loved the neighborhood. We would go again.
The place was just what we needed to visit family. There were too many pillows, too much stuff accumulated around the house. Too many toiletries and cleaning products. Other than that, we had a great time!
