Barley Cottage is a stone-built two-bedroom cottage set within 28 acres of private grounds in the Colmer Estate near Modbury in South Devon. The cottage is one of only 20 privately owned homes on the estate which includes a woodland, nature lake, streams, landscaped gardens and meadows. There is a large communal heated outdoor swimming pool which guests can use (open late May to September) and an indoor pool that is open all year round, plus guests also have use of the shared tennis courts, table tennis table, games room, gym and children’s play area situated within a walled garden.

This cosy terraced cottage sits alongside similar properties and retains the original stone features in the open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room area. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pod machine and fridge/freezer. The living area is perfect for relaxing in after a busy day exploring the local area, so kick back and watch a film on the TV with Freeview in front of the electric wood burner. The enclosed patio area in front of the cottage has outdoor seating and it is a great suntrap for enjoying an al fresco meal before the sun sets. Heading upstairs, there is access to a lawned area behind the cottage, with winding paths leading to the Colmer Estate facilities.
