Highly Disappointing Stay: Poor Staff Behavior and Worn Property
My stay was extremely disappointing and fell far short of expectations, especially considering we chose this area believing it offered the safest and best hotels in Central Mississippi.
The most concerning issue was the unacceptable disrespect shown by a staff member toward my daughter. A hotel employee screamed "we're out" at my daughter while she was simply attempting to get some waffle mix, and while the staff member was actually holding the mix in her hands. This behavior was hostile, unwarranted, and completely inappropriate for a hospitality setting.
Beyond the staff issue:
• Worn and Dated: The hotel looks significantly worn and dated. It is in need of updates to meet current standards.
• Lack of Hospitality: The overall demeanor of the staff was not great, entirely lacking the basic warmth and professionalism expected in a hospitality environment.
• Unpleasant Odor: The area immediately outside the property had a strong odor of marijuana.
In summary, the combination of terrible staff attitude, poor property condition, and general lack of a hospitable environment means I will never stay at this property again. I strongly advise future travelers to look elsewhere.
