Staff was friendly . Lobby looks nice. Right when I got in the room I wanted to leave. Rooms are very old looking. Furniture walls all of it. Sliding glass door is paper thin, so noisy from traffic outside.Major police blockade right out on the Main Street at 11:30 pm. The hallways and rooms smell musty and moldy. There’s no way this is a 4 star hotel. I see why it had such a low guest rating next time I’ll look at that.

We picked this room for the view and its proximity to the hospital. I needed a place to recover from surgery because we traveled far and had a post op conference 2 days later. The night before the surgery I had to take a shower. The bath tub was dirty, the water was cold, the service guy couldn’t fix the temperature, and the drain backed up with dirty water to above my ankles while showering. They offered another room which had similar problems and was actually dirtier. The next day they offered a suite, which was a larger room with similar problems. They offered another suite which had fewer problems, but the shower water and sink water was burning hot and the service guy could not fix that. The desk people explained that in October a renovation was scheduled. Hilton should not open until they fix their rooms. I am not alone. There were many many people complaining at the desk and asking for different rooms. When we moved from the 4th floor to the seventh floor my wife had to move everything herself because due to my surgery I could not lift. Do yourself a favor and don’t select this hotel for your stay in Jacksonville.
