loved our stay at the Mermaid castle. The house was beautiful and had amazing views. Its steps from the beach so we were able to be back and forth from the water without breaking a sweat. The host was amazing and responded to questions in a timely manner and even came out to the property for some quick maintenance that was requested. 100% would book again.

The house was gorgeous, well stocked, and the location was right on the beach. Construction a going on next door but that was disclosed ahead of time and we really didn’t notice the noise much at all. Definitely somewhere we would stay again!

The house was as advertised. Very comfortable and roomy. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Waking up to view of the ocean every morning was magical! When we headed to the beach it was a short walk over the dunes. Very nice house which provided a very nice getaway.

The Mermaid Castle was perfect. Very well appointed and just as advertised. It was the best stocked kitchen I have ever stayed in. Views were killer, especially from the roof deck. Beds were comfortable and the AC unit worked wonderfully and kept the house very comfortable. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this wonderful house.

Outstanding property

First class property that was very enjoyable for our entire family. Views of the beach amazing, watch the sunrise from almost every room, and great decks to have cocktails.Owners great with instructions and touching base to make sure everything was going well with our visit.

Highly recommend!

This property was amazing. Beautiful views from all levels. Awesome beach access. Was perfect for our extended family to gather. Property manager was extremely attentive in answering questions, etc. We would definitely stay here again and we would highly recommend to others.

Work Trip made Fun!

Fantastic house and even better location! The views are stunning and the house is better than advertised. Hosts were quick with communications and the check-in/check-out procedures were a breeze. Would definitely rent again next time we're on the island.

Beautiful property with gorgeous views

This is a beautiful property with gorgeous views! There was plenty of room for our large family group to spread out but also plenty of room for us to gather for meals, conversation, and game time. The roof top deck was perfect for relaxing and for family photos! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook large breakfasts. The property was clean. The host was readily available and responded to messages promptly. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was great. It was well appointed with an amazing view. It should be noted, however, that there are lots of steps which could be challenging for the elderly and physically challenged individuals. Otherwise it is a perfect getaway.

Beautiful house in beautiful setting

The house is beautiful and accurately described in the pictures. Our extended family was able to spread out and gather together as needed and everyone had a lovely private space. Kitchen has everything we needed. The area is quiet and not crowded- we felt like we had our own private beach with stunning sunrises.

Great Stay at the Mermaid Castle

The property is clean, spacious and tastefully decorated; perfect for our family vacation that included five adults and four children. The teens had their own area with two queen beds, bathroom and washer/dryer. The master suite is massive so we flipped a coin for it. Truly a wonderful space.

Our family very much enjoyed this property. The property owner was very timely and helpful when responding to requests. The home has incredible views, and the living area on each of the three floors provides family members their own quiet spaces. I especially loved the very well appointed kitchen. The dinnerware and silverware were plentiful and of great quality, as well as the cookware. Some of the mattresses could use a refresh. We would stay here again!

Cute beach house

Great beach house for a group! We had 10 people and never felt crowded. The home is right on the beach and well equipped. It’s about a 1 min walk to the beach (right out the back door) and 15 min car ride to downtown. The hosts were great and communicative. We never needed anything during our stay. Would recommend!

Maj Jongg Getaway

We were a group of 11 ladies all 60+ ages. We take getaway Mah Jongg trips at least twice a year. The Mermaid Castle fulfilled all our requirements. The ladies never stopped talking about how awesome our house was. The beach was right there. Many walked every morning and several rented chairs and spent hours in the sun. We all enjoyed the early morning sunrises. Not only is it on the beach but it is a beautiful and well appointed home, but the extras made our stay exceptional. The kitchen has everything you need and then the some. The hosts kept in touch with us and answered our questions quickly. Definitely recommend this "castle" for a large group or large family and would surely rent again if ever back in Fernandina Beach.
