We were surprised and disappointed to pull up to the condo to discover that major construction was going on to the building - with scaffolding up all over one side of the building, windows on one side covered up with building materials, and work going on all day on weekdays. This should have been disclosed before renting.
When I contacted the property management company, all I got was an "oops" response back, saying they didn't know that was going on as the HOA did not inform them. No subsequent communication.
The unit itself was well located so close to the beach. The unit is average, bed mattress is harder than most, clean for the most part, as clean as an ocean front place could be. The water pressure in kitchen and bathroom shower was extremely light as well.
We've stated at a lot of vacation rentals, and this one was just ok. Yet, it was reasonably priced. Still, if you are going to have major construction going on, you should at least inform the tenants so they have the option to either cancel or live with it.
