We were traveling from Michigan to Florida and needed a half way point for the animals. This was perfect for our needs. Circle driveway for easy pull through. The house was VERY clean (better than majority vacation rentals). The stalls had direct pasture access, great dog run, beautiful covered porch, lots of deer. Everything was very well maintained. Whatâs not to like! We will plan to make this an annual stop :-) Just a little note when coming south southbound on I 75 maps/Waze put you on a very beautiful curvy scenic route but not best for pulling trailers. I know I-40 is still under construction due to the hurricanes and does not anticipate to be fully done until 2028 so not sure if this was why it put us down narrow curvy roadsâŠ. Again the property is 5 out of 5.
This was the 3rd time my friends and I stayed here. We come to TN every year to volunteer at Odd Man Inn Animal Refuge. This home is perfect for us. Itâs cozy and plenty of room for us. The kitchen is fully stocked with items to cook with. The host is very responsive any time we had a question. The blender wasnât working & when I let them know, they responded saying they ordered a new one and it was being delivered on Thursday! I would highly recommend staying here! Very clean and so accommodating! Looking forward to staying here next year!
The house was everything we expected and more. This home had everything that we needed , the beds were nice and clean sheets, the bathrooms were spotless and well stocked with towels, wash clothes, little bottles of soap, shampoo, qtips, toothbrush and toothpaste in a sealed bag.The kitchen had alot of pots, pans etc. We enjoyed That it was super quiet . A must stay. We are going to stay again in near future.
We had an amazing stay at this property! The cabin was impeccably clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless and beautifully designed. The accommodations for the horses were equally impressiveâclean and easily accessible. The paddocks were lush with grass, and the water pressure from the hose was excellent. My horses enjoyed the freedom to move between the stalls and paddock, and I felt very secure with the turnout fencing. The large water troughs, sturdy wheelbarrow, and the little tack/feed room with a lock were all great touches. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I hope to return again. Thank you so much!
This cabin backs up to Spruce Creek, with access to the neighborhood horse trails as well as Big South Fork trails. Pasture is lovely, with plenty of space to let your horses stretch out after a long ride. Kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials. Grill works great. 10 minutes from Pickett State Park, for fishing and swimming. Driveway has turn around for horse trailer. Everything was clean and comfortable. Recommend!
We stay in a lot of VRBOs. This is one of our favorites. When you're old and travel with horses, convenience is important. This lovely property and home is so convenient for us and the horses.Horse care is easy. The owners are wonderful. The house is everything we need and enjoy. I can't think of anything I'd change about it...oh wait...March Madness on TV, but that's extremely minor. :)
Great place to stay when hiking Big South Fork. Close to the main entrance and number of trail heads. Comfortable, parkable garage, clean and well equipped cabin.
The house was lovely with all the conveniences one could want. We were in the area for hiking and the house was a perfect home base. It was nice to come âhomeâ after a long day out and relax on the large porch with comfy chairs.
We enjoyed watching the horses and dogs of the neighborhood. The atmosphere was very quiet and the stars at night were something to see!
Kristin was very helpful and easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. If we are back in the area again we would love to stay here again.
We loved our weekend here! We brought our horses and rode right out the back of the property, thru Spruce Creek trails, to Big South Fork trails. Cabin was comfortable, clean, and fit our needs. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfy. Weâll be back!
A perfect place for my horses and visitors alike ! Quiet setting and a wonderful neighborhood. The hosts , Kristin and Mike , were extremely accommodating and very quick to respond to any and all questions I had about my stay. Would give 10 stars if I could.
Nice location and friendly owners. Felt just like being at home but in the country. Relatively remote but perfect if you are looking for that sort of thing. Close to many parks and outdoor locations to hike and enjoy the nature.
We loved our stay at this property. It had 2 big porches were we spent our mornings and evenings. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. The bedroom set up was perfect for a family traveling with kids. Location was so close to Pickett State Park, Twin Arches, and Big South Fork. We had so much fun and would definitely stay here again when we come back to the area. Highly Recommend!
Wonderful place for a vacation. Hosts are very easy to get hold of should the need arise. Beautiful house. Nice barn and pastures for the horse and easy access to trails. Very friendly neighbors who are fun to visit and ride with.
