Lake life

Great place to stay with family as there are different levels to spread out. We loved the beach club and all it had to offer. The night they had music down below, we were able to hear it out on the porch.

Spacious Big Canoe Home

This is a spacious, clean, three story home conveniently located minutes from the main clubhouse and golf clubhouse. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need for cooking even though we didn’t cook this trip. We had a problem with the Kuerig coffee machine; it either overflowed our cups or wouldn’t brew at all, so we eventually we emptied out our Kcups and used the regular coffee pot. Overall a very nice home we recommend to others.

Family gathering in a peaceful location

The house was very welcoming for our family gathering of 8 adults. The location easy to find and close to groceries if needed be. We enjoyed using the kitchen for cooking and hanging out on the screened lakeside porch by the fire pit and watching movies in the game room every night. The only comment I have was that the car was needed to access the hiking trails within the community and I would have like to be able to have access on foot to them to avoid using the car, but otherwise we had a great Christmas catching up with family from different states. I recommend this house on the winter if you are looking to stay in comfort indoors.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous neighborhood.

Our stay was excellent from beginning to end. We had no issues whatsoever. The home was beautiful and we always enjoy our stay at Big Canoe. Golf course was top notch as well. Thanks so much for a wonderful memory filled vacation!

Vacation with family

Property was excellent and location was scenic and easy to access. Bedrooms and living spaces were beautiful and modern as was the kitchen. Only negative was the sofa upstais was covered with crystal (not sure what it was) so cover had to be taken outsde shaken snd washed. Crystal on floor also. All other areas were very clean. Would stay here again if in the area.

Amazing place with poor check-in process and scams

The day before we were supposed to leave, we had to call because we never received a response or email regarding the gate pass / property door code. When we called Jurny (third party vendor) to get that information. We were then informed we had to pay a security deposit. We told them VRBO never mentioned anything in the property detail page. They insisted we give them our credit card number or they will cancel our reservations. While my wife was on the phone with them, I called the Guest Experience Team (listed on VRBO under this property). They said they were having problems with their online payment system and they will take care of this issue. We felt like Jurny was trying to extort money from us. Finally they said they will waive the security deposit and not cancel. That was the beginning of a trip we were excited about but this incident kind of ruined the trip for us. The ceiling fan in the living room had a broken blade hanging from it right above the couch. Most of the light bulbs were missing from the fixtures. The windows overlooking the lake were covered with hand prints, lip prints and other filth. The gas fire-pit was not working. Both porches were covered with cobwebs, dead insects and leaves. We reported all this to the Guest Experience Team. Why are we paying the cleaning fee if the cleaning is never done. These third party vendors who manage these places are not doing their job. If it weren't for all these issues, we may had a good time since the place and Big Canoe offerings were amazing.

Christmas with the family

We had such a wonderful time. Very family friendly! Beautiful view, comfy cozy beds and living areas. Very well stocked kitchen for cooking. We had such a wonderful time with our grand kids fishing and spending time at the park.qould highly recommended this place

Relaxing Mountain Retreat

We were grateful to stay in this lovely home over a July weekend. Everything was as described and it was perfect for our family. The owner communicates well by text and allowed us in the place a bit early. We also communicated back that we left two hours before checkout so they could start the clean.

Great location

We loved how close to the amenities this home was as well as the feeling of being surrounded by the trees. Unique features of this rental are the games on the lower level and the fire pit in the screened in porch, all of which we enjoyed!

Fantastic location and amazing house

What an amazing house with plenty of room for our family and extended family. Great views of the like and the fire pit patio was enjoyed by all in the evenings. House was a pleasant retreat during our amazing vacation in Big Canoe. Will look for this place again next time we come back

First Trip to Big Canoe

We loved this property! It was more than enough room for our family of five with additional space for guests. We enjoyed the tabletop shuffleboard and Pac Man, as well as the beautiful views from the porch. We would definitely stay here again.
