Such a nice place to stay. The owner takes great pride in the decor. We felt at home right away. We saw deer as we were having dinner. It was a great experience for my granddaughters! Thank you!♥
This is such a cute and charming cabin. It’s been nicely updated and we loved the bear decoration motif. It’s in a great location, close to the beach club and the best trails in Big Canoe. The kitchen is well-equipped, everything we needed was right there. I’m including a picture of the rock slide at the beach club and the lovely waterfall that’s just two miles away from the property. I can’t wait to go back and do the rest of the trail and see the other two waterfalls! Also, my dog enjoying the comfy couch…thanks for setting it up for us so it was dog friendly! She had fun at the dog park. Can’t wait to come back, it’s a new favorite!
This was the best Tree topper yet! Nicely renovated. TVs in all rooms. Kitchen had everything we needed for Thanksgiving cooking and a well appointment bar with tools for holiday cheer. Great to see deer passing from the deck each morning and seeing the sun rise over the lake. We'll be back to this one!

The Bungalow was clean and had most everything you needed to stay. The bathrooms were very small. The main problem we had was washing the towels we were using and putting them in the dryer before we departed. We picked this treetop because it had no outside stairs and the only stairs were to the ground floor and then three more stairs to the laundry room, which had NO hand rail to the Washing/Dyer room. We are 75 and 79 and these stairs were dangers for us. We have never had to do this at any other rentals we have stayed at, we have put towels in the laundry rooms or placed used towels in the bath tubs. We also had to go buy laundry soap the day before. We were hoping to leave early and this threw us off our early departure. There are NO directions for the TV. We do not have a Roku TV and it was hard to navigate. This is the fourth time we have stayed in Big Canoe and we would not stay at Treetopper Hideaway again.
This is a great little place to stay. Big screen TVs in all rooms. Very clean. Everything we needed was provided. Attractively decorated. Plenty of comfy throws and blankets. Plenty of water pressure and hot water. The only drawback was the bed in the 2nd bedroom. I slept there the first night because I wasn't feeling well and the bed is very noisy. Every toss and turn woke me up due to the creaking of the bed. It really needs to be replaced. Otherwise - we would definitely stay there again. Thank you.
The cabin had been cleaned. Upon entering, we first thought it was the smell of pet urine. After walking down the spiral stairs, it was obvious there was an extreme musty smell permeating from below. There were bugs in the bedroom that had a bathroom adjacent. The shower in the hallway would not turn on. Both of us had to use the small stall shower. The thermostat was extremely difficult to understand without directions. Overall, the place was nice but really need some attention as far as smell and working condition. The overall appearance was fine. The bed slept nicely. The pillows were absolutely horrible like foam rubber.
