I enjoyed my stay very much, I was there to take my son on a fishing trip along with a friend of mine. The only thing is there should be some maps of the island and the amenities that is provided. Additionally there should be a pass for laundry as it’s hard to find quarters on a Sunday morning. But I had a good time so much so that I do plan to come back.

Check in was easy. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Kitchen was very well supplied. Was awesome to be able to see and hear the ocean waves from inside. View was amazing.

Showers had mold. AC didn’t work. Bad experience.

We stayed 1 night and wound up paying to stay elsewhere. We contacted the property management company as there were mold in the shower and the AC wasn’t working but they didn’t seem to care. We wound up packing our family back up and paying to stay across the island. My kids were devastated. I have stayed with Jekyll realty many times but never again. They are a money pit. When I checked in they didn’t even ask my name or for ID and just handed me the keys.

Fabulous 5 girls

We throughly enjoyed our fab 5 Girls trip here to Jekyll! The view was beautiful and we had plenty of room & the kitchen provided everything we needed to cook & have coffee in the mornings. We also enjoyed the board games they had! The pool was refreshing too! We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The condo is built really well, we could not hear our neighbors nor could we hear each other when in our rooms. The laundry facilities are outdated and you will need to pay for laundry
 Everything else was perfect. We were there 4 full days and never ran out of things to do. The Drisftwood Bistro has the best Cheezey Grits. Only issue was biting insects on the beach Bring repellent and cover up

Great vacation spot

This was a good comfy base of operations. Books, jigsaw puzzles and games helped entertain our 5-7 yr. olds. Kitchen well-stocked, and clean and nicely decorated unit, with beach access 100 yds. away. Water spot in ceiling in living room and not working sink in upstairs bedroom only detractions to our home away from home. One spindle loose on deck railing, could be unsafe for unsupervised children.

Perfect!

The place was very nice and the view is great. The place is very convenient to driftwood beach.

This place has a great view of the ocean and is very clean with plenty of room for guests. It is very close to driftwood beach as well as the public beaches. This unit is very close to the beach access point, ice machine, and laundry.

Just the Ticket

This property, Villa by the Sea 504, was almost like home away from home. This particular property occupies the second and third floors of that unit section and has a full-on view of the ocean from the balconies, with cross-over "bridges" to access the beach right outside this unit. Laundry facilities and an ice machine are located just outside this unit, as well. This unit is located at the north end of Jekyll, just a few minutes south of Driftwood National Park. Staff at Jekyll Realty, the manager of this property, were friendly, courteous, and very helpful with our questions. We will be requesting this property, Villa by the Sea 504, when we return.

2020 Jekyll Island Family Vacation

We were really blown away at the overall complex and amenities. Great access to beach and pool without the overcrowding. Love Jekyll Island! As far as the condo, it wasn't very clean and really needed lots of attention. The linens on the bed were well beyond needing washing, blankets on the sheets were covered with hair, pillows were flat and stained on all beds, the shower had mildew, railings going upstairs were sticky and dirty, wall in kitchen was really dirty, sofa and loveseat dirty and the sofa was caving in the middle, bathroom floor coming up in upstairs bath. The space was very spacious and it was nice having the two balconies to overlook the water. We made it work for our vacation, but would not recommend it or rent again unless upkeep was made better.

Family Wedding

This was a great rental for our son’s wedding weekend. Bathrooms were a bit smaller than expected and towels didn’t dry very quickly because of the humidity but the rental was just as it looked! Great decor and right on the beach!

Sleeps 8, however only has seating for 5. Ridiculous. I tried to message the owners 3 times no responses at all. The condo smells and has heating vent hanging down off ceiling. Looks like little mold with it. All the pots are nasty and burned. Very frustrated that there was sleeping for 8 but can only sit 5. Even at kitchen table can only sit 5, it’s horrible. Will never go back.

Fabulous once construction work is done!

We loved the unit, but the beach is under construction and the headquarters of the project is right outside your window. Dump trucks and huge equipment running from 7am to 7pm. We were not informed of this and spoke with realtor about it with very little satisfaction. The listing says “limited beach access”, but there is zero access at this time. When the project is over ( The construction crew told us it would be September at the earliest), it will be a great place to go.

Great place but the construction!

Prior to reserving this place, I asked the realty company where the nearest beach access was since the pictures showed the access across the rock sea wall. They indicated approximately 100 yards. However, there was no beach access at the Villas because of the construction from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. I understand the purpose, but it would have been nice to know it up front prior to reserving the place. The actual condo was nice and equipped well - one point, the sliding door in the living room really needs to be replaced because it was very hard to open and close. We do love Jekyll Island!

No beach access.

I would have rated this property a 5 but there was no beach access due to big rocks. If we had known in advance about the beach construction we would not have rented it. We would stay there again as long as the construction is done.
