Excellent stay. It feels humid when you arrive, but when you turn on the humidifier, it goes away... it looks exactly like the photos, with its wonderful garden, everything is really comfortable and beautiful, despite being under the access stairs.
Perfect for a stay to visit Manhattan and enjoy relaxing evenings in the friendly environment of Hoboken with stunning views of the skyline. The appartment is totally authentic and as described. Super clean. Communication perfect. Thanks a lot to Mena. We and our boys loved it
The location was ideal. Only a 10-15 minute walk to PATH trains to get to Manhattan. It was one block over from many shops and restaurants. It appeared to be safe walking around and it was nice and quiet after the being in the city all day.The apartment itself was small but it was clean, nice and simple. The steps going down to the brownstone apartment are not easy if you are disabled. There were 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. The smart TV allows access to your accounts to watch shows and movies, but no cable or antenna for local shows.
We really enjoyed our stay in Hoboken at this property. The location canât be beat and to find an affordable 2bed 2 bath in the center of everything was exactly what we were looking for. The check in process was easy, the beds were comfortable, and the amenities (soap, shampoo, towels, linens etc) were just right. However, this property needs some TLC, the couch had a stain, much of the hardware was rusted, paint was peeling, and the fridge may have something wrong because it made a very loud noise throughout the day and night (like a loud HUMMING and whistling), things like that. BUT some of these things may be expected due to the age of the building and should be easily rectified. Overall, we liked the property and would consider staying there again because the positives outweigh the negatives.
We had an amazing time! The apartment was very clean and we felt completely safe and comfortable. It was very easy to get to local restaurants and to the transportation system to NYC. Would definitely stay here next time we come!
Overrated online pictures / no parking spot / poor condition
well there is couple reason There is a hot water problem in the house. you cant take shower as 2 person back to back. and very unclean house: We decided to check out two days early since house was not in condition where we could stay in our reserved timeframe. Myself , my mom and 6month old baby got fewer bc of cold water - in the room , there is basement window which completely blew the air into the house , you dont feel it untill you sleep in their bed you will realise your shoulders getting really cold. Host is willing to help as you raise the issues but nothing they can do on the property since its really not stayable. i am unsure why this property still up
We stayed here for our visit to NYC and the NYC Marathon. Getting to the city and start line was fairly easy using NJTransit and Path trains. Bus Rt126 from the Bus Terminal in Manhattan drops you off a few hundred feet from the entrance to the apartment. The host was great and very responsive to any questions we had and her recommendations were spot on! O'Bagel was so good I think we ate there almost every morning.
Hoboken was fantastic and we enjoyed just being able to walk down Washington St to grab a meal or go shopping. The apartment was clean and well provisioned and my in-laws enjoyed the apartment so much that they were discussing coming back next fall and wanting to stay there again!
The apartment was perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood just one block off the main street. Convenient to Manhattan via the PATH train. Comfortable beds and well appointed apartment. As others have mentioned you can hear the tenants upstairs but earplugs were thoughtfully provided and made it a non-issue. If coming into Hoboken to visit Manhattan, educate yourself on the PATH train system. Very easy to use and much less expensive than Uber or Lyft. OâBagel close by was fanstastic! You can even order ahead on their website to skip the line. Would recommend this apartment without reservation.
This was one of the best homes I've stayed in. It was clean and in a great location. I had a group of 5 girls, but it could easily and comfortably house 6.
I had a request and the host granted it without any issue. I would definitely stay here again.
The stay is in the basement of a brownstone and though they did their best with the decor I would say the photos are misleading. The space is very dark as there is only windows in the bedrooms, and the outdoor space looks nothing at like the photos and was not inviting at all. We did not enjoy our stay honestly, not for any reason really under the hosts control as the building is what it is, but if we had seen the place as it truly is we would not have booked as it is not for us.
It was lovely to have the coffee and snacks provided, and the place is clean and well decorated. The beds and pillows are fine, water pressure is extreme (like being cleaned with a pressure washer!) and never ran out of hot water.
The location is spot on for Hoboken and ease of accessing (15 minute walk) trains and ferries to New York. Very close to eateries and pubs. Though it is loud and we were woken every morning by the building garbage cans and people doing something with them. The host does provide earplugs so I suppose itâs an ongoing issue. You also enter the suite by walking down a hallway that is mold and mildew ridden with such an aggressive smell we would hold our breathes and run.
For somewhere to lay our head it was fine, but for the extended stay it was tiring as we didnât enjoy the space so couldnât decompress, I would say itâs better to post photos of the actual space as it is while in it so people can decide if itâs for them or not.
Positive points on this property are location to NYC and the great neighbourhood of Hoboken.
Having a washer and dryer was great and the toiletry accessories was a nice touch.
It was clean on the surface but this place could use a serious deep clean and refresh. Patio is not as it appears in pictures and there were only two drinking glasses, other than coffee mugs and wine glasses. No dishcloths to wash dishes with.
The welcome snack are a nice touch and having the dehumidifier was essential as it is pretty damp in the basement.
Overall, the location won us over and if the owners cared, they would invest in a proper cleaning company and refresh the paint and grout in the bathrooms.
Stayed 4 nights with our 2 kids during heat of the summer. This place gave us tons of room for everyone, had great beds & pillows, soft towels, a fully equipped kitchen, a great sofa, a fun patio -- all very clean and in a fantastic part of Hoboken. Parked our car at the Midtown garage & everyone there was great as well.
Really well located property for getting into NY. Very comfortable beds and good to have air con but the property overall is quite dated and could do with a refurb.
