Overall the property was very nice. The bedrooms were good sized and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The pool area was nice to sit and hang out after a day at the beach. The food truck onsite was very nice as well.

The property team was very quick to address questions, issues and concerns. The overall condition of the condo is good with some things seeming a little “tired”. The master bath exhaust fan is extremely loud. The guest bath exhaust fan filter needs cleaning. The fact that the only small closet in the guest bedroom was filled with a vacuum, mop and broom was not good. Any clothes hung there would immediately smell like vacuum/mop. Another location for the equipment would be great. There was no ability to use the safe since the key was not available at the front desk as indicated it should be. The cutting board needs to be replaced. It collects all fibers from the sponge and dish towel and they could hardly be removed. All kitchen equipment worked perfectly. One item to note for future guests. Coffee filters were provided, thankfully. We were told round filters were needed for the coffee maker. Not true. The pot uses Cone filters. It is good to note those are provided. Air conditioning in guest bedroom would not cool, ever. The condo is nice and pictures online are accurate.

We enjoyed this unit. It was a family of 5, two adults and three children. The place was spacious. You have a partial ocean view from the balcony, but you can capture some amazing photos. The pool was warm. The kids loved it. We had a budget. We didn’t want to spend too much money on stay because we wanted to use that money towards activities and food. If you’re looking for amenities, this isn’t it, but if you’re not, then this is perfect. Which we weren’t looking for “hotel amenities” because we weren’t planning on spending our time in the hotel. We knew we weren’t going to be home much because we wanted to explore the island. Also, this was so close to many activities we did. We did Maui Off Road which was literally 5 minutes from the place. We went to a Luau dinner at the Westin, it was 7 minutes away. We went to Honolua Bay to snorkel, it was about 10 minutes away. These were some of the many activities we did. Everything was nearby and accessible. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! I recommend this place if you’re in a budget because the nearby hotels are ridiculously expensive. Also, rent a gas operated car (not an electric car) so you can explore the island without limitation.

Heaven at the Royal Kahana

We had a wonderful week at this location! It's a wonderful spot surrounded by great restaurants and stores, close to whalers village and other popular locations. The condo was clean and spacious, had everything we needed. The dryer broke before we came but the host was accomodating and brought us extra towels. Pool is small but there's lots of chairs and its never full. You don't have beach front directly in front but its a very short walk to a great beach and swimming area. Parking was great. We were not expecting to have that be an additional charge, figured it came with the cost but that's pretty common at places in maui so it didn't bother us much. The room also came with 4 beach chairs which was amazing to bring with us every day. Super close to a snorkel bobs where you can get more chairs and tents to rent. Napili is just a SHORT drive away and it's the most beautiful beach. We would definitely stay here again!

The best part about this condo is all the windows. If you open them and turn the AC off you get an amazing breeze that is the perfect temperature day and night.

Great location and view! Clean, lots of Tupperware, beds comfortable! Barbecue and facility was the cleanest I have ever seen anywhere ever! Dryer doesn’t work the best and wish facility had a hot tub but other than that it was a great place to stay! Love that you can walk on the beach!

Beautiful condo!

Our Verbo owners have done an outstanding job of decorating their condo with beautiful furniture and art. They achieved that hard-to-find balance of beauty and comfort. The condo is gorgeous, yet comfortable and homey feeling. We stayed in that complex 15 years ago, and unfortunately, though the condo is beautiful, the building is in need of a major update. Hallways were stained, there were holes in the walls, the pool area 15 years ago had a snack bar/ bar, and the whole property was clean and inviting then. Not so much now. I would highly recommend our Verbo condo and the owner and manager services. Just wish the property owners would do an upgrade. Note: to the Verbo manager— the dryer doesn’t work. Four hours to dry a small load is ridiculous. Also, we only had tepid, not hot water the last two or three days.

Maui quick stay

Older but well cared for condos. Parking always available but lot striping was designed for smaller cars of past years when all rentals were compacts. Slow internet. Sony TV in living room needs a new remote. Four adults, we enjoyed the seating and layout in the living room. Windows needed exterior cleaning ( hard to maintain with rain). Would recommend and would go again. Thanks.

The place was perfect for 2 couples to stay with plenty of privacy. It had everything you need. Great ocean view from the balcony. Easy check in and check out. Quick and efficient response from the host of the property. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing!

I have never booked on VRBO, what a nice experience! This spot was more than we expected, even though we didn’t get to spend much time in the room it was the nicest place to come back to! Everything we needed to enjoy our stay! Roomy for the 4 of us, away from the craziness of hotel life, close to amenities, wonderful view from the lanai, pool area clean with lots of chairs and gorgeous views! We will stay here again for sure!

Great Condo

This is a nicely decorated very clean condo. Very spacious. We have stayed at the Royal Kahan several times. This time Royal Kahana had issues, we were without power one day for 24 hours, several days without power some days 5 hours some days 7. We were without water twice. When no power it means no elevators. So the hike up seven flights was not good, plus no emergency lights in the stairwells. Also, it’s an extra $18 a day to park there. So we paid another $220 to park. As much as we loved the condo, and have always loved Royal Kahana, I think all the issues, and no warning, or honest answers why, we will probably look for someplace different to stay. The condo ran off a big generator, until Royal Kahana could get a part in to fix the issue.

This condominium was well appointed and stocked. The pool area was decent size and never over-crowded. The views both morning and evening are spectacular with ocean on one side and mountains on the other. A "convenience" grocery store is nearby but for eat-in type shopping it requires use of a car or service such as taxi, Uber, Lyft -- lots of these readily available.

Beautiful property and location

We visited with our young daughter and her boyfriend. My husband and I played golf at the plantation and the bay course while they went hiking. We also went snorkeling and water safari. It was the perfect place for us. The beds and towels were super clean. The kitchen is so well equipped. The kitchen has a smoothie maker which made our breakfast experience absolutely wonderful. We are vegan so being able to cook our meals was wonderful. The balcony offers a wonderful opportunity for meals while viewing a splendid sunset. The downstairs pool is heated and lively to experience. Staff in the building is excellent. A wonderful opportunity all around. The host, Randy was very welcoming and kind. Highly and strongly recomend.

Some Good Some Bad

We wanted to like this place because they did a wonderful job decorating but there was one problem in particular that never really got resolved. The air conditioner never worked properly despite multiple texts with them (they really should have called instead of just texting), they eventually sent someone out but it only worked for an hour or so. We gave up and opened the windows. Which leads to another problem, the garbage trucks came at 6:00 a.m. 5 of the 7 days we were there, extremely loud. Lastly, we really enjoyed the pool but the beach isn’t anything by Maui’s standard of beaches, so we ended up driving each day to another beach.

Loved this condo, large enough for 5 adults. Beautiful views, decorated very nice. Had everything we needed. The views from the lanai were great. Spent the early mornings sitting there looking for whales.
