Our 3-night stay at Sudima Kaikoura was initially off to a rocky start. We had earlier informed the hotel that we would be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary but there were no special arrangements made. As we settled in to wind down for the night, we were disappointed that the in-room TV was faulty. Duty Manager Adil personally came to try to rectify the issue. Upon finding it unfixable without further disturbing our rest, he offered us a new room with an ocean view. Adil also saw to our requests with speed, initiative and demonstrated professional excellence when he greeted me by name. We are grateful that Adil repeatedly went the extra mile for us. As such, we will reminisce our stay at Sudima Kaikoura with fondness.

A beautiful hotel in a great location on the seafront. The staff were super helpful. A bit disappointed that the outside pool area was closed due to maintenance even though we were assured it would be open!

We paid for an upgrade to the beach view and it was well worth it, the room although small did have a wonderful view of the beach. Cleaning was performed daily but very basic, no toiletries were replaced during our stay - including the toilet roll! We selected this hotel as it had a swimming pool however when we arrived the pool was empty with a sign saying under maintenance with no date it would be in use again, there was also no sun loungers at all.

I was here for one night. The staff was lovely. The hotel is not 5 star. It was a typical hotel, nothing great. There was not enough space to hang clothes or unpack them. My room was not ready at 4:30 pm, when check in starts at 2 pm. The bathroom did not enough space to hang towels. The parking space is limited but free and street parking was available. Overall for one night it was fine.

Overall very good. Service in restaurant a little patchy. No clear matre de on floor just division of tables. Some diners served promptly others left for longer periods of time. Too much emphasis on clearing tables rather than attending to diners. The pier hotel for example had a better atmosphere for dining.
