Was very underwhelmed. This was just a regular Hyatt with a higher sticker price. Staff were average if not below average. Also, no spa? It was a resort “and spa” and couldn’t get a massage on site which was very odd. You’d be better saving your money staying elsewhere and getting pretty much the same experience. The rooms were clean and the views were great. Otherwise, not much to jump up and down about. Restaurant and the little store on site close pretty early which made the evening arrival kind of difficult.

We had such a wonderful stay here with our two kids. We loved the free water bottles that you can always refill and the backpacks, they came in handy for our beach and hike days. The room we stayed in was beautiful, with gorgeous views and the lanai was so spacious. The kids loved the pool, Outrigger’s grounds were so lush and beautiful and the staff was so helpful and accommodating. We would definitely come back again.

Room was bright and clean. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds and gardens are gorgeous, surrounded by lava rock.The pools were great. The adult pool hardly ever had anyone in it, but even the main pool was never too crowded and always had a great vibe. The food at the restaurants was good but came at a price. The breakfast buffet is not worth it at $37 per person. You're better off ordering from the breakfast menu or using the grab & go option. I would overall recommend eating out in Kailua-Kona rather than at the hotel. The poolside bar is convenient for small bites and drinks while relaxing at the pool. We wanted to attend the Luau (which only runs twice a week) but were told that it was cancelled due to low attendance numbers, which was a real shame. I'm not sure how often that happens or if we stayed during a slow time (end of October). The hotel is conveniently located to the bay where many snorkeling and manta ray tours leave from. We did both and enjoyed them immensely.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the hotel offers a beautiful view. While the room could be improved, the outdoor seating area is very pleasant. The Luau show is also truly impressive.

We stayed four days at the resort. Our room was cleaned daily and always spotless. The ocean views from our room were outstanding, especially at sunset. The check-in was easy and Michael was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the lei making and ukelele class. Both pools were large and interesting.

Staff was very courteous; they had a lot of amazing amenities just baffled with how much they charge for parking - but that’s honestly normal for any hotels in Hawaii… i guess. The hallways to the rooms are carpeted; looks messy, highly suggest taking them out and sticking to wood or cement-ish floor so it doesn’t look dirty.

It was the worst trip. We couldn’t sleep as their mattresses are very soft. You sink in them and wake up with neck and back pain. The first room we had was the worst. We couldn’t take shower as there was no hot water. A technician came and told us we should run the water for 15-20 minutes. It didn’t work, they moved us to another room. They did clean our room on the third day. For three nights trips, two much hassle and we didn’t enjoy our stay. I don’t recommend this place.

Incredible spot but felt because I was on a package deal they "upgraded" me to a room with the absolute worst location. I asked about a discount that was included in my packed and they told me to deal with the person booking the excursions. I felt like they passed the buck and of course no discount was applied. I didn't know they were separate companies.

Staff was courteous and went the extra mile for us. The hotel is older, but rooms were clean and nice. The property is beautiful! Definitely would recommend. Swimming with the mana rays occurs just off shore of this hotel and was the best experience.
