We had a great visit with easy access to the Kohala beaches. The backyard has a great view of the ocean with plenty of seating where we could read our books, drink cold beverages and not have to compete with crowds.
We would love to stay here again.
This was our second visit to Hale Lani and we love it! The location is excellent for getting to all the spots we love, and the house and hosts are delightful. We will be back! Aloha!
We loved the location and amenities of this house. Wonderfully equipped kitchen, lovely mountain and ocean views, and lots of beach equipment (chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc.). We’ll want to rent it on our next trip, thanks for sharing it with us!
Everything was clean and neat, had many "extras" like updated appliances, washer/dryer. Ocean views. Centrally located: close to great beaches, close to areas we spent time at (Hawi, Volcanoes, Kona, etc.)
This rental property is well equipped and beautifully decorated. The house has a great backyard patio and is close to all the best beaches. Short drive to Waimea, Kona, Mauna Kea and Hawi.
I have been coming to Hawaii for several years this is by far the best place I have stayed. It felt like home and was stocked as we stayed two weeks. I really loved the property, great location, super view and great energy here. I will definitely come back again.
This was a good find for our honey moon. We had a fully stocked and clean house. The view was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted coast and Mountain View both and we got it. It’s 39 miles to the top of Mouna Loa beautiful views with sunsets. The traffic noise was a bit disappointing the first day then we got used to it and it didn’t bother us anymore.
This place was immaculately clean, spacious and wonderfully decorated. We loved the location- just 5 minutes from Hapuna and 15 minutes from Waimea and 30 minutes from Kona. Lovely private back yard to sun bath in and look at the stars at night. Owners are lovely and communicative. We will be back!
We really loved and appreciated our time at this delightful house on the Big Island. From our first moments there making us feel welcome with the fresh bread, wine and other goodies, to all the fun and thoughtful touches in this house, it was absolutely wonderful!! Mahalo!
Second trip to Hawai’i, second time staying at Hale Lani. We love the location of and the view from this house. It’s well-equipped: beach umbrellas, beach chairs, fluffy beach towels, good kitchen, grill, outdoor seating, and a smart tv if you want to watch something other than the sunsets. We love th area, close to our favorite beaches, fish market, and everything else you need. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. Great ocean view and a wonderful back yard to hang out in. Fresh bread when we arrived too! Everything was as good or better than advertised. We will be back.
During the wettest and windiest time spent on BI, this property had everything we needed & more. We cooked all our meals at home in a gourmet kitchen with all amenities. The central location is perfect for exploring with terrific access to the ocean. Loved it!
I love love love this home. I have stayed several times. Location is great. A few friends and family for a retreat and to enjoy the beautiful Hawaii island. This place is magical. The owners are so kind. The home is clean with a great view. Love it.
Nicole and Nick were fabulous hosts. The house was extremely clean and we arrived to thoughtful and homemade gifts. Kitchen was well stocked, house was equipped with towels, blankets, sheets, etc. Plenty of room for our family of 7! Thank you for everything. We can’t wait to return.
Property is well taken care of and Nicole and Nicholas took great care of us. The house had everything we could have needed for our stay to include beach items. House is located closer to many of the beaches, but farther away from the more urban Kona area. We really enjoyed the location and home. The small issue we had was quickly resolved and didn't impact our stay at all. Highly recommend for your tropical getaway.
Our little family had the best stay here! The house was extremely well stocked, the space was perfect for our family of four and we made so many memories here, but what really put things over the top were our wonderful hosts. They were extremely thoughtful throughout our stay from the fresh baked bread at check in after our late flight, to dropping off a basket of toys for our boys on a day that looked like it might rain, to letting us hang on to the snorkel gear and boogie boards for the day after checkout to pass the time before our flight home at the beach in style. The house was an incredible home base for all of our adventures on the Big Island, and we hope to be able to stay here again if we get the chance to come back!
The location of this property is awesome. The best part is the host. There was great communication and if problems had occurred, I’m sure they would have been resolved quickly. I even tried to book the following week, but it wasn’t available:)
Attention to detail! The hosts thought of literally everything you could possibly want or need to make their place your home away from home. Notables: Central AC, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, thick towels, huge bathtub and walk-in shower, full size washer/dryer located in utility room that looks like a closet (next to sliding patio doors). Excellent food and drinks at Seafood Bar & Grill 1 mile away. Very prompt communication with hosts, who were super nice. Also, they won’t add extra junk fees to your stay like corporate condo rentals do!
We had a lovely time staying at Nicole and Nicholas’s home. It was spotless when we arrived, and the thought that went into the extras they provided (fresh baked Hawaiian bread, Hawaiian sodas in the fridge, coffee and more) combined with how helpful they were if we needed anything, made our stay extra special. Location is very convenient to several beaches. This is a perfect choice if you don’t care for the resort vibe and want your own outdoor space. The only thing is there is some noise from the road if you are hanging outside but otherwise, Nicole and Nicholas’s spot is a gem. Highly recommended.

Unbelievable -A Little Villina, within minutes of best beaches.
It seems like many vacation rentals show fancy pictures, which they don’t live up to. This home is even better than you expect. It’s like going to your well-traveled relative’s home, where they have been very thoughtful of your comfort.
A great base to explore much of the island, with beaches close enough to go twice a day. Could be charging a lot more for this property. Thank you so much!
