Very close to restaurants, shops& hospital. We walking to& from hospital everyday and we walked to restaurants & to get ice cream. Awesome neighborhood....very friendly people.
Pros: The location was convenient for accessing KU. The dishes and pans there were a nice bonus. Cons:First, I did not receive the access code for the property at 11 like I was told I would. This added anxiety to the trip worrying if I would be able to get in when I arrived. First impression was terrible. The rental was humid and smelled horrendously musty. It took my breath away when I walked in. The place was tidy and clean but the stench almost made me want to check into a hotel instead. As the days went on and the air conditioner ran the smell alleviated some but it remained throughout the stay soaking into my clothing. I have been exposed to mold in the past creating breathing issues and this rental did cause flare ups for me.The bathroom walls were saturated and dripping after the shower which could be contributing to potential mold and the musty smell. The walls are incredibly thin and you can hear the neighbors even walking through the duplex next door. Something to think about if you have kids or want a quite get away. Overall 2/5 due to the smell and potential mold causing me issues with my breathing while staying here. I have brought up these issues and was advised they would look into them and work on them, I truly hope they do as the location is convenient.
Rented property for family after hospital stay. Clean, close to hospital, host addressed needs untimely manner. Would stay there again if had to stay in KC area.
We were moving across country from SC to CO with pets, the largest U-Haul truck available towing an enclosed trailer, and our jeep towing a utility trailer. The pictures of the parking area appear to show that you can enter from the back. We assumed thatâs where the alleyway was. However, we were sorely mistaken. The duplex is located on a one way street that has cars parked on both sides all the way down it. There was no street parking available. The alleyway is between the duplex and the building next door. It also had cars parked down one side of it. Even if we could have fit down it with the U-Haul and trailers, there would have been no way to turn around and get back out. There is no other exit. We had to unload everything and go drop the truck and trailers off in a target parking lot 10 minutes away; and hope that no one messed with them overnight. There is construction going on across the street. There is a hospital right up the road. There was traffic all night long. We were awoken multiple times by helicopters, loud cars, and construction workers that sounded like they were inside the room with you. The owners are clearly aware of these things since they provided a jar of ear plugs in each room. The bed in one room was fine but did slide across the floor with the slightest touch. The bed in the other room was on three box springs. We didnât need anything fancy. Just a place to eat dinner, shower, and sleep after the second day of driving 8-9 hours.
We had first planned to stay here on our trip driving west and then again while driving home a week later. There was a mix up about our arrival time and the house wasn't cleaned for our initial night we were going to stay here. Luckily Logan got us into another rental which was very nice and only 5min away, it was done so quickly and was a great solution. When we stayed here on our return trip, it was easy to check in and the place was clean. We did try to use the TV and it kept freezing up? not sure if the wifi was to blame or the TV, at any rate it wasn't a big deal and because it was late we didn't contact Logan about it. The location is amazing, right next to restaurants. We got dinner to go from Kari's on 39th, excellent would recommend.
It was a great weekend getaway for four adults. Felt fresh and clean. We were all comfortable. It is a cozy duplex but that was great for us as we were there to spend time with each other. It appeared that the previous renter had broken the remote for the TV so we reached out to the host and brought us a new remote very quickly. We were surprised and very pleased at his quick response. Great host. We would definitely stay here again!
i stayed here by myself. you can hear the people next door when in the bathroom. which i didnât mind but i wanted to include in case anyone does. it wasnât too loud. just sounds like someone muffled in the next room. other than that it was like the pictures and the area is really great. they include ear plugs which i appreciated. would stay again. :)
Overall the place was nice. It was in a good location within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The place is quite small but homey and comfortable.
Had a great stay, super location. Our only issue was with the thermostat when we would leave we would set it on 68, but when we returned it would be cold in the house and the thermostat would read 58.
Myself, husband, and daughter were in town for a volleyball tournament. It was held at the convention center, which is about a 10-minute drive from this little house. The location of the house is perfect. We walked to a couple of the restaurants on 39th Street and felt completely safe the whole time. Off street parking is a great perk. This rental is one half of a duplex but we never heard the next door neighbors. I appreciated the coffee and the laundry detergent that was left for guest use. My only negative were the beds. They were both extremely soft and unsupportive, so much so that two people would continuously roll to the center of the bed. I suppose bed softness is a personal preference, but I feel like potential guests should know what to expect . The couch bed was uncomfortable for an adult, but perhaps a small child would be okay. Overall this was a nice little place in a convenient location.
Loved it! Super cute little house! Easily accessible to power & light, and arrowhead stadium! Uber was very easy to get here! Very clean! We loved it! Thanks so much Lance!
Super cute property and great location. Only downside, very musty and moldy smelling.
The rental is a townhouse with off street parking in the back. Small and cozy, very well decorated for the space. Beds were comfortable. Floors could have used a deep cleaning, especially the bathroom. There was a very musty/moldy smell in the house. Great location with multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and bars within walking distance. I would stay here again.
Place needs cleaning. Crumbs on bed. Sheets looks like they were never cleaned. Dirty floors. Could use some sweeping also. Hair in tubs and bathroom. Beds was uncomfortable. Feels like I just sunk in when laying in bed. Refrigerator wasn't clean. Overall, this place just needs cleaning and better bedding. Hard to sleep when your stuck in one spot. Everything else was nice from parking to location.
