Welcome to Galway Street Getaway—your easy, comfortable home base in a quiet Smithville neighborhood. You’ll have 2 bedrooms, plus a bonus non-conforming basement sleeping area with a sleeper sofa, and 3 full bathrooms (including an ensuite in the primary and a full bath in the basement). Great for a weekend away or a work trip, with most KC attractions about 30–45 minutes away.
I am available seven days a week from 8 am to 9 pm. I do my best to respond within minutes. Occasionally, it takes longer.
The Galway Street Getaway is nestled just a few blocks from downtown Smithville, MO. Smithville is a small town on the edge of Smithville Lake, a 7200 acre Corps of Engineers Lake. Smithville is home to triathlons (Matt Mason Memorial Cowboy-Up! Triathlon & Win for KC Women's TRYathlon), some great gravel bike races (Humphrey's Gravel Grinder and the Smithville Gravel Grinder), as well as miles of paved and track bike trails (Smoke And Davey Trailhead).
The local distillery (Little Platte Distillery) and several restaurants (award-winning Chops BBQ, Humphrey's Bar and Grill) are within five minutes of the home. Also downtown are several shops for a great small-town shopping experience.
Smithville also has an award-winning winery, Ladoga Ridge Winery, less than 2 miles away.
The entire home, porch, and backyard are at your disposal. The only items that are off-limits are the two locked closets where we store our cleaning supplies.
Nearly all of Kansas City's major attractions are only 30 minutes away. Enjoy the small-town feel while being close to KC.
