Two night stay.

The front desk told me that smoking in rooms was not allowed. Upon me arriving and entering my assigned room there was two air purifier's running trying to clear the funk out the funky room. I went back to the front desk and reported my find. A representative went and checked the room. I was given another room and upon entering with my baggage, I observed a Marijuana dubie on the heat radiator. I collected the dubie and turned it in to the front desk the next day. The breakfast around 8:30am was very very poor and the microwave oven stop working. The front desk clerk had to work at the front desk and restock the breakfast items ( when time permitted ). The pool is still inoperable.

The tv was powered by the internet and we could not view the weather for our travel nor did we have internet for our phones because of the penetration of the building. We called the front desk and they said they would send a tech but they never showed. At 11:30 we went to bed

I was happy to see my room was more like a suite with a separate bedroom from the sitting area. I was not pleased with the use of the 2 TVs in the 2 rooms. The remote controls did not work correctly and the TV in the sitting room was not able to get any signal to watch anything. The TV in the bedroom only had 1 station that had signal enough to watch. Though we didn't spend much time in the room not sleeping it was a little annoying not to be able to relax watching something before bed.

Would definitely stay there again.

Out stay was comfortable and the hotel beautiful. We particularly enjoyed our meal in the Oak Room, the beauty of the buildings in the surrounding historic area and the convenience to the train station. The breakfast was delicious and the man working the breakfast went out of his way to let us ride the service elevator when my knees were aching. The front desk staff and wait staff in the Oak Room were also extremely courteous.

I stayed for business at Kauffman Stadium. Locationwise, it couldn't be beat. The property delivered excellent quality for the money. Not a 4-star hotel, but more than enough for my particular needs. I'd stay there again.

Excellent value and convenience

Hotel looks older and a little rough, but it’s clean, orderly and friendly. I’ve stayed here multiple times for sporting events and it is extremely convenient and has excellent value.

Lobby looked good. Once we found the elevator things looked worn and a bunch of garbage was along the wall. The room was very small, carpet was dirty, toilet didn't want to flush and the bed was bouncy. Nicest part was the shower/tub. Breakfast was ceteal or toast with 1 pint of milk in the icebox.

Good view of baseball season

Real fine hotel with nostalgic feeling, the way it is built was noticeable, and close walk to baseball park. the staff was very nice . We had zero problems plenty of fresh linen and good breakfast, we stayed an extra day.

We were staying at an unfortunate time in that they had turned off the heat to the room. They did provide a small electric heater that would be great to keep your legs warm under a desk but difinitely not to warm a room. I turned it on and left it on the whole time and we never did get warm. { I made sure to turn up the thermostat so the two weren't fighting against each other.} We saw a few trash bags sitting around the property. We got to the breakfast* area a half hour before it closes and there was almost nothing left to eat and very little selection. We ordered a handicap room and although the room was adequate our room was almost as far as you can get from the elevator.
