So many problems, but faulty wiring was the most concerning.
It was HOT, and it could not handle the AC. We could not use the third floor at all, and we had guests booked and paid for each of the bedrooms.
We had to go into the dark, creepy basement several times a day to reset the breakers. The host was responsive by text, but he was unable to fix it. On day 3, he sent a text that said, "I'm truly sorry for the inconveniences you've experienced, this is completely unacceptable and I'll be refunding last night and the rest of your stay. I've been trying to schedule an electrician for weeks to fix this..." He knew he had problems but rented it and accepted full payment anyway. After our visit, he did not respond to me or to VRBO. He sent a "partial refund" but did not explain how he came to that amount (less than the nightly rate). This property should not be allowed to be rented until the electrical problems are fixed, and even then, I would not trust that the host would be responsive.
