The location of this property is just perfect! The amenities provided a relaxing and comfortable stay. The host was wonderful to work with and was extra accommodating when unexpected cancelled flights changed our trip. We would love to stay here again one day and will be telling our friends all about it!
With the ac broke in January I thought the issue was fixed. The room was left with fans and with the rain drying the room was impossible and sleep was not restful. We had two fans in room with one in the bathroom. The only room that was tolerable was the bathroom. The springs on the foldout were rusted so it was noisy when rolling over so woke others. The toilet handle had to always be jiggled or it would run after use (an annoying sound along with all the fans!). Location was great- right next to the beach and host brought another fan when one was broke. Just wasnât as restful as hoped.
Internet was terrible and kept going off even after it was fixed, so the TV kept going out and phones had no wifi. Access to beach was great. Air conditioner was out when we got there and management knew that is was broken but didn't say anything or offer us anything. When we complained, they came out and fixed it. Pretty disappointing.
Our first (bucket list) trip to Hawaii and loved this wonderful first floor condo, literally steps to the beach, and in a lovely maintained and beautifully landscaped complex (Islander on the Beach). Unit 164 was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the pool (perfect temp) and hot tub. The proximity of a grocery store, and other shops within walking distance was nice, too. We wouldnât hesitate to stay in this unit and complex again if we are ever fortunate enough to make another trip to Kauai!
Beautiful property right on the water. We could walk 50 feet and be in the ocean! Pool and grounds were awesome! And this condo was super close to shopping and restaurants. Easy drive to the North shore or the South shore.
We stayed 2 weeks. The unit looks better in person than the pictures. It really is just steps to a beach. The beach in winter at least had some pretty decent waves hitting the near shore reef and made it not super safe to swim but decent snorkeling. Our only issues with the property were issues with the AC not working (it would shut off or bot engage the condenser) and tight (limited #) parking.
As the ad says, it's an unobstructed 50 feet to the beach, 50 feet also to Lava Lava bar & restaurant. A few shops and restaurants on the Aston property, and across the parking lot is Coconut Marketplace with more restaurants and shops. I recommend Kapaa/Wailua for location: lots to do here and equidistant to north and south shores.
