If you are in all-inclusive resort type, the island of Molokai is unlikely for you, but if you value personalized engagement, solitude and rustic charm, Hotel Molokai delivers beautifully. The property was quiet and had just the right amenities to cook simple meals, nap in a hammock and have a happy hour or breakfast with the welcoming kitties and chickens!
I didn't like the fact that what I thought I booked was a hotel room, but in fact was a unit independently managed by Vacasa. That should be disclosed before the booking, not after.
Slow drain in bathtub, there was ankle deep water before the water got hot for my shower. No air conditioning. There was A Lot of highway noise as we had to open up all the windows to get cooler air into the room. Early morning chickens were also quite in evidence. Very good restaurant on site. The bed was large and comfortable.
