We loved our stay in this sleepy littleVillage.Bach has everything you need with a deck looking over to the sea.1 minute walk to the beach, we had a dip every morning.Really safe swimming spot and perfect for our dog who had an even better time than us. Would stay here again. Owners communication was excellent. Always responded almost immediately.
Using the Google map we found the house difficult to find as it was the second house in on a street which did not look at all similar to the map. The house was fine and well fitted out with equipment, extra bedding and other extras such as tea & coffee. The outdoor furniture needs replacing as it is very tired making it uncomfortable and requires replacing. The dinning area inside and out was fine the benches offered plenty of room to sit. The unit lacked a night stand and a small table lamp, the one provided was just a bare bulb and balanced poorly on the box provided. The laundry contained all that was required with an extra vanity and toilet which was handy but it requires a good thorough clean. We loved the setting so near the beach with lovely walks along the walkway however the view from the unit was unfortunately mostly straight into the foundations of the house next door which can't been helped due to new development.Despite these issue we enjoyed our relaxing stay and would love to use this venue again. Susan the owner was very helpful and pleasant to deal with .
My partner and I came to Kawhia for a weekend away. Susan was so amazing and so responsive. The cottage was clean and tidy. We had a restful stay. It was quiet and so peaceful, especially with the ocean so close by. Iâll definitely be coming back here
Had a great time so very relaxing and peacefull.Enjoyes safe swimming in harbour and it was so close to bach.My dog Jimmy thoroughly enjoyed the stay tooThanks Sue
Lovely bach with easy access to one of the most beautiful harbours in NZ (in our opinion). Susan was so easy to deal with. A magic weekend and we'll be back for another visit I'm sure
Aotea Village is absolutely beautiful and the location of the bach was idillic. Windows look out to the magical forest and the beach is a two minute walk away.
Susan is amazing to deal with. The bach is in a superb location only a 2 minute walk to the water. Its fully fenced and would be great for dogs to be secured in. I would recommend this property.
Probably better once the next door neighbour has finished building and stops burning rubbish all day but their new deck overlooking the bach outdoor living spoils the view and takes away privacy
We just stayed there for 2 nights , but where thinking to expand. Location is fabulous- lots of things to do around the next 100 km . Good Fishing and walking . Very relaxed carefree Days .
An incredible 4 night stay. We often stay over the hill at Kawhia and have been converted to champions of Aotea. Met Susan and Lilly and they were lovely and available if we needed anything. We didn't though as everything is catered for, it was so comfortable and welcoming. Thank you again.
4 family members had a wonderful weekend. Splendid convenient position in quiet settlement, well equipped kitchen. Glad weather was brilliant so easy to use outside deck as living/ eating area. Useful to have additional toilet( in laundry outside) for guests in the sleepout. little dog happy & safe in fenced area. Clean & comforyable with huge choice pf specialty teas!
Great wee spot to get away from it all. Beautifully quiet, relaxed and friendly. Susan is an epic host, super helpful but leaves you to it. Spotlessly clean, with everything you need. We'll be back!!
We really enjoyed our stay. Aotea is so peaceful and pretty. The bach had everything we needed and Susan had communicated where the nearest shops were so we came prepared with groceries. We were able to just chill out.
