Perfect for my requirements!! Friendly staff and perfectly situated for one man and his dog on route to the Highlands and return !!
Rooms are very basic for the price.
Sofa was badly stained, bathroom paint was peeling off the walls and bath tiles. Carpets badly need changed.
Same price as Westmoorland (Tebay) which is 10 mins north and much better.
Convenient stopover on the road south. Helpful staff and were even able to provide extension lead for my cpap machine. Quiet room with wonderful view of the lake. Would stay again

Very good location for continuing our journey. Room was comfortable and spacious. I would have liked the family room to have a small refrigerator. We had a room by the door and it was very noisy with guests opening and closing the door late into the night.
Room was a bit tired with chipped paintwork. Bathroom was clean. No traffic noise from the M6 but a lot of noise from the corridor, with doors banging etc.
I couldn’t sleep in the bed. It didn’t feel clean. The room was obviously designed for a person with limited mobility about 20 years ago. Very poor finish. All I could smell was cigarette smoke. Only food available was McDonald’s and Costa Never again
Stayed here for one night in a multiple beds room. Room was spacious and had all we needed. I would definitely recommend opting for the lake view rooms as the view is great! Both members of staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely location. Keep in mind it's a service station hotel and there is no official restaurant. Just ensure your expectations are in line with what you're booking.
Room was decent and clean, if a bit tired.
House Martin nesting holes near the windows were a nice touch and good to watch.

Okay stay
It was just an okay stay . We had to stay in one room even an hour after checked in . The other room was booked in my dad’s name so that the receptionist said we Booked only one room. Later I had to call hotels. Com to find out what happened really and they said the 2nd room was booked in my dad’s name.
The bathrooms was mouldy . Even though the place has got good views at the back it situated infront of a service.
