Welcome to The Smithy, your ultimate luxury retreat just minutes from the stunning Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Perfect for families and groups of friends, this property offers a serene escape with spa features, including a wood-fired hot tub and a wellness room. Bespoke bedrooms and inviting communal areas create the perfect setting for gatherings, while original features enhance the charm. Relax and unwind in style, enjoying modern comforts in a tranquil environment. Property Highlights **Location** The Smithy is perfectly located for two of the most amazing national parks the country has to offer. You are only a 20 minute drive from the edge of the Lake District and can be at Windermere in under 30 minutes. You are also only 15 minutes from the Yorkshire Dales, and an hour from the borders region of Scotland. That makes this the ideal location for anyone who enjoys, natural beauty, the outdoors, walking, cycling, adrenaline sports, you have it all your doorstep. **Accommodations** Upstairs boasts two large beautifully designed bedrooms with king size beds, both with freestanding baths. One has a separate en-suite shower and the other features a large spa shower within the bedroom for ultimate luxury. Downstairs there is one king room and one twin room with two singles. Both share a unique ‘cave like’ shower room with waterfall shower. **Kitchen and Dining** The kitchen boasts a large range cooker and all the utensils you will need to cook large family meals. The large wooden dining table has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy meal times together. **Entertainment** Enjoy movie nights in our state-of-the-art cinema room, where the whole family or group can gather to watch films in ultimate comfort. With numerous streaming services to choose from, you'll never be short of options. Alternatively, there are hours of fun to be had on the foosball table or delving into the large stock of board games. **Spa Features** Unwind in our dedicated wellness room equipped with a luxurious massage chair, foot massager and yoga mats, with a wall mounted TV perfect for indulging in online yoga classes. Or rejuvenate in the wood fired hot tub after a day of exploring. Robes and are provided for each guest to give that Spa feel. **Comfort** Throughout the property, numerous comfy chairs are perfect for curling up with a good book or simply having an afternoon nap! **Office Space** For those needing to stay connected, a dedicated desk space on the mezzanine floor provides an environment to work, ensuring productivity amidst the tranquility of nature. **Outdoors** The beautiful garden is equipped with an electric Ninja outdoor grill (no faffing with coals and lighter fluid). All of the delicacies you cook up can be enjoyed at the eight-person outdoor table, and then sit around the fire pit for roasted marshmallows as dessert. *Modern Comforts** The Smithy seamlessly blends luxury with modern conveniences, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable stay. There is a professional coffee machine, supplied with locally sourced coffee for that caffeine boost in the morning, and a Bluetooth speaker to play your favourite tunes of an evening. **Dog Friendly** We love dogs so two well behaved dogs are welcome (if your dog is moulting heavily we would request you do not bring them out of respect for our cleaners and future guests) for an extra charge of £20 per dog but included in this they'll even get their own welcome hamper! **Nature Awaits** Surrounded by lush greenery and stunning views along the riverbank, The Smithy is your gateway to the great outdoors. Sitting in the garden, listening to nothing but the flowing river and the abundant wildlife, is real food for the soul. PLEASE NOTE - Due to the quiet and peaceful nature of the area, guests must be mindful of noise at all times to respect our neighbours and note we operate quiet hours between 2000-0800hrs, which must be strictly adhered to, with no noise from the garden above hushed chatting during these hours. The hot tub is for relaxed enjoyment, not a focal point for drinking and shouting. PLEASE NOTE - the hot tub is a large 8 person tub and is wood fired as per the description and photos. If you do not have experience with wood fired hot tubs, this means the water will be cold on your arrival and requires the guest to tend a fire to warm up the water. In the winter months this will take several hours of tending the fire. We provide logs to get you started for inside and outside but if you intend on using both the indoor log burner and hot tub, you will likely require more, so it is best to come prepared to avoid disappointment. PLEASE NOTE the property has steps to access all entrances and there are different levels to the ground floor, unfortunately making it unsuitable for those with severe mobility issues.
