The room was fairly clean, pretty standard. The major issue here is the noise. A very large group of people took over the common area, which happens to be right in front/below the rooms. I opened my door and the smoke from their bbq set off the fire alarm in the room it’s that close. They had a DJ and music played VERY loudly until after 11pm, and this was a Thursday night. This group seemed to be regulars there, so be aware.

Great!

I booked this property last minute and for a quick mini getaway with my family. The plan was to visit Sequoia National Forest which was a quick 45 min drive from the hotel. Initially we wanted to go to Sequoia National Park, but learned that dogs are not allowed on any trails. The property is across the kern river and surrounded by breathtaking mountains. I loved that they are pet-friendly and that a kitchenette was available. They also have grills outside. My favorite part was sitting outside during sunset hours. Also, the kern river is across the street from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Gem

Amazing start. Very clean, very quiet, spacious room with a nice kitchenette. Outside of town and across the road from the Kern River. Management and staff are great.

Great property. Clean, working gas bbq’s, kitchenette in room with everything you need to cook your own meals. Steps to the river. They also have ax throwing and a horseshoe pit for fun. Only tiny downside was limited reception/channels with the Direct TV service. Overall 9 out of 10.

Great property for family! Loved the kitchenette and that there was a laundry room on site. Only one issue was we realized that we had slept on an upside down mattress after already being there for 3 nights out of our 5 night stay. Once we flipped it from the spring side, it was comfortable. Staff were friendly and everything was clean. The trail of 100 giants is about 45 mins away. Would stay here again!

The staff and owners of the property made you feel welcome and part of the family. Great location for access to the Kern river and its distance from Kernville provided the quietness to enjoy the natural beauty in the early morning hours. Downside, The walls are thin and the night guests could be loud enjoying themselves around the outdoor grills, fire pit or horseshoe pit.

My wife and our little dog stayed here for the last weekend in March. We really liked the kitchenette that allowed us to make & keep food/snacks with us for our daily excursions. I so appreciate a 12 cup coffee maker in the room that allowed me to use my own filters & coffee to enjoy whilst walking across the highway to sip by the river's edge. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. It was nice to drive just 15 minutes to get a fresh hot pizza from town. We love exploring mountain roads and got as far as Poison Creek campground at 35.934845, -118.396905 then the snow/ice was too deep to continue to Big Meadow via Forest Route 22S12. That being said, we will stay here again in the future and bring steaks so we can grill on the deck. Thanks Corral Creek Lodge!
