The host was available and helpful. The place was clean. The location was comfortable and felt safe. We enjoyed walking down to watch the sunsets and relaxing at the pool. We liked being close to John Pennekamp Coral Reef SP for snorkeling and kayaking. We enjoyed restaurants where locals ate and being far enough up the Keys to not be caught in traffic as well as not long drive for visiting other state parks down the Keys. We looked forward to use of the hot tub but disappointed we couldn't use as we hoped. The water logged cover was difficult to lift for access and the water temperature was cool and the control panel was not functional to adjust the temperature. The host had someone remove the cover for our stay but water temperature was cold and a few more contacts to get the temperature up to use after a few days. My friend and I didn't have a problem with the tight squeeze of the toilet area but others might. The a/c unit was right above my head in bed and couldn't be adjusted so I moved my head to the bottom of the bed. The host apologized and suggested not using it if it was a problem. Again, this may not be an issue for others, I wasn't aware of some of these things and feel it would be good for others to know beforehand. We did enjoy the outside area in the morning with our coffee/tea. For an older RV, it is what it is.
