First I will start with the good. It was easy to find on a map. It is close to the airport, that may be good for travel but you're far from old town. You'll need to arrange for transportation to go to Duval Street. There is a small grocery store right down the street. That was nice although we didn't use it. Vacasa the property management team was fairly quick to answer the phone when needed. My pre-arrival literature was informative. I got access to the property using their instructions. It comfortably slept our 5 occupants and I think 6 would be the max. The pull out sofa was mechanically sound and setup and retracted easily. The TVs are large enough to viewed comfortably from anyone in the rooms. Parking was free.Now the wish it was better. The interior of the property is dated. From the laminate countertop to the original fixtures and hardware, everything looked builder grade. It wasn't high end but the pricing didn't match my expectations. We can't speak about any of the appliances because we ate out every night. We used the refrigerator, however, it doesn't come with an Ice maker.Now for the not good. For out first 2 days the pool was freezing. The hot tub worked and was warm. Then when someone reported the pool, the pool because warm and the hot tub was freezing. In the room we were in one of the HVAC ceiling vents was protruding from the wall as the screws holding it in had pulled out.I might go back but would first explore closer spots to Duval.

Everything was great! The place was very clean and the check in instructions were very easy and straightforward. We were only there for one night, but we are already planning a return trip to Key West and would absolutely stay here again. Lovely complex and area to stay!

A lot Left To Be Desired

I understand that rental places have issues, as renters don't take care of the property. Therefore, finding issues is common. However, how a company responds when an issue is reported, really tells the true story. Here are the issues we faced: 1) There were 5 of us, but only 2 towels in total. I complained about this to customer service and they said someone would reach out, but nobody ever did. This is a big deal, as I had to go and buy towels myself, as you need towels for the pool and beach. 2) All 3 mattresses were absolute garbage. They were of the absolute cheapest quality someone can find. 3). The water was getting backed up in the bathroom sink. 4) The shower head was extremely calcified, so almost no water came out. 5) The property description mentions that there is a washer and dryer. That is technically true, but they fail to mention that it is not in the unit and is available on the ground floor and requires you to pay to use them. You have to put at least 10 bucks to use them, as the machines use a special app and not cash/credit.

My favorite place in Key West!

This is my second time staying at this property! I really love everything there! While it is an older unit and located next to the elevators, sometimes you here drunks coming back later. Even so, I still is a great place to stay. 2nd time we stayed there for my birthday! Look forward to my return!

Run down

there was no check in process as the door is a code so you literally do not have to see or speak to anyone. The apt was run down. And in need of serious updates. The baseboards were dirty, some of the tile were broken. Rust on the side of the fridge cabinets were kind of gross. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were terrible and the bar stools were extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully we are not the sitting around type, so the apt was really just enough to sleep and take a shower. I would never go back to that rental. For the price I would expect nicer sheets and mattress and a place that’s not run down. Im disappointed to say the least

Very dated and tired property

We arrived to find a dated and tired condo. The time and grout was dirty and broken. The bathtubs had ground in dirt. The worst part was bedtime. I went to lay down only to find the box springs broken on one side. I called and was told someone would repair it. I had to call again next morning. Someone called while we were gone saying they were there to repair the bed. We returned that evening to find nothing had changed. I would not recommend this property; especially at $530 per night!

Good location but need renovation

The location was quite but also if you had a car very easy to get to everything. Pool was really nice but the inside of the condo was very dated and needs a major renovation. All in all I would okay staying there with my family again just wish it was a little more updated.

Older property, but clean!

Was slightly hesitant to rent due to multiple reviews indicating the mattresses needed replacing. I was hoping so many guests mentioning the same thing meant they'd been replaced but that's not the case. Waking up in the middle of a folded taco shell isn't fun. I'd highly recommend you take the advice of your guests and replace these mattresses ASAP. Having a place to store luggage when early check in isn't possible would be great too! Not all arriving flights match up with check in times and no one wants to lug luggage around all day. Tbe property is older but clean and quiet!

Rest and relaxation

We very much enjoyed our time at Sunset Suites. Nice place to get away and just relax and unwind from the fast pace of life. Condo was furnished with the standard amenities. Would stay again. Duval street is a short drive or a quick uber ride away.
