My family of 5 enjoyed our trip to the Black Hills and our stay in this cabin! It is a fun location not too far from Keystone that feels quiet and tranquil. We are big fans of National Parks and Monuments, which is what brought us to the area. We were mostly active during our days, and only spent time at the cabin in the evening. This is a historic cabin that has been updated with modern conveniences. The only issue I had was because of the unseasonably cool weather, the cabin needed to be closed up and the lack of circulation caused me some breathing issues with the dust and allergens of 100 years. If you have asthma, this might not be the place for you! Otherwise, it was a fun cabin for our adventures.
Gorgeous scenery and a peaceful vibe â perfect for both relaxing and exploring with kids. Such a cozy, family-friendly cabin we canât wait to return to!
This was a very cute cabin awash with history. Very peaceful with close proximity to Mt Rushmore, Keystone and Custer Park. Wildlife did not disappoint with a huge herd of buffalo being the highlight. Turkeys and deer to greet us in the morning. Will definitely recommend to others!
This is our second time staying in the Glendale cabine and we cannot wait to book it again!! We were in the HIlls to ride side by sides with friends and do some touristy things...and this cabin could not be more perfect for our vacation!!! The cabin itself is full of amazing history, is super cute, clean and comfy!! The firepit and picnic table got used a ton...nothing like making breakfast in the grea outdoors, smelling the fresh pine and even feeding an apple to the owners horse across the road, to evenings by the campfire with a spectacular view of the stars!! The location of the cabin is excellent, as well, close to so many Black Hills attractions! And to top it off, you will not meet people nicer than the hosts, Doug and Wendy!! They are amazing!!! If I could give our stay even more than 5 stars, I would!! Fannnntastic Friends getaway and cannnot wait to visit again!! THANK YOU Wendy and Doug for all!! :) :)
We enjoyed visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park! The buffalo were cool to see and Keystone was a great little place to eat and do a little shopping.
This was a wonderful location that was centered around everything we wanted to visit during our vacation. The owner was super responsive to any questions that I had during our stay. We absolutely loved it
This is a wonderful cabin home in the Black Hills. Beautiful scenery!! Good location with easy travel to all the sites! Itâs minimally stocked for cooking, but worked for our families needs. It was hot when we were there. The 2 window a/c units did a good job of keeping the main living areas cool, but the bedrooms were warm. Didnât sleep well. All in all though we had a great time!
We really enjoyed the ease of location of the cabin for our base. It was at most 1:15 away from our destinations like Deadwood & Hot Springs but convenient for the more central attractions. Lots of room for the kids, and cooked all of our meals for breakfast & supper. The house generally stayed cool despite the 80-100 degree days with the window AC running. the stackable washer & dryer were decent sized for keeping up on laundry. Our history loving 9 & 11 year olds enjoyed the binder sharing history, and we saw a doe a few times up the hill coming into the driveway. If we return to the hills, we certainly would consider the cabin again!
Stayed at the property for a family vacation in the Black hills. Excellent location near enough to all the attractions yet far enough out of town to have solitude. Would stay again
This was a wonderful place to stay while exploring keystone and the surrounding area. It is very quiet and was a great space for us to spread out when relaxing. They have done a great job with all of the details. Would love to visit again when we are in the area
This cabin was nice- very clean and as advertised in the photos and the listing. Check in was very easy. It is a bit further from Keystone/ Mount Rushmore than I realized, but not too bad. The amenities are minimal (only a few plates and bowl, no soap in the shower), but overall it was a great place to stay.
We had a wonderful few days at this cabin. Loved the history and the space. Our kids enjoyed all the outdoor space and played like crazy. We saw deer every morning and the picnic table has beautiful views of the hills. Everything was so clean and comfortable. The location was absolutely ideal and it was so fun to take a back way through some tunnels to see Mt. Rushmore. Wow! So close & convenient to everything.
It was a perfect location for Mt Rushmore. Could drop in to the monument whenever we felt like it. Loved the small town atmosphere.
The cabin was far enough of the beaten path to feel secluded but located close enough to civilization â€ïžit
