This is fourth time we have stayed at this house. We particularly like the location at the end of the cul de sac looking out on the lagoon and still an easy walk to the beach. We particularly like the relatively large screen porch with a table large enough to seat six and the "open kitchen" with a large peninsula giving plenty of counter space. While the furnishings are relatively dated, they are comfortable, and the kitchen is reasonably well equipped. We had some problems with the storm door at the front entrance however Vacasa maintenance promptly responded and made the necessary repairs. Also, they know to repair the locking mechanism on the slider to the porch.
A new cottage for an annual Kiawah Christmas trip. Listing info is accurate. Positives: charming interior, about 50 yards from beach entrance, clean and well equipped, quiet neighborhood, great shower and hot water, plenty of space. Other: a bit dark inside due to tree canopy and a 10 diget entry code. Overall very satisfied.
This property is very close the beach and Night Heron Park. Unfortunately, the home has not been cared for well and needs many updates (furniture and bedspreads not clean, rusted out grill, moldy washing machine). I wish I would have known these (and other) things before booking. After 16 years of family vacations on Kiawah, this area is our favorite part of the island. We enjoyed our time with family, but it is difficult to relax when you have to contact the property manager multiple times. I hope these issues are resolved for future guests
Weâve gone to Kiawah for years but this was our first trip to this property. Itâs a short few minute walk to the beach or a 30 second bike ride. The house has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation; updated kitchen and baths, comfy furniture, good WiFi. And the price was unbeatable, especially considering the location.
This cottage is very cozy. Our go to hang out was on the porch. It is quiet and the property is clean. I also like the fact that the streets are clean. I canât wait to stay here again.
Wonderful private location on a quiet street with a quick walk to the beach. Adjacent to a pond with a nice forest view and relaxing night time sounds. Two full bathrooms and well equipped kitchen.
This place is really well located and very quaint inside. The kitchen is well equipped. My only complaints are that the beds are super uncomfortable, there is no way to black out the light in the rooms (weak blinds), and the bath doesnât have a proper plug so I couldnât give the kids a bath. It would be great if pest control was done more frequently (roaches and other bugs) and a dust pan couldnât be found. I would stay again if the beds were updated.
This is the second year we have stayed at 443 Sea Rocket. It is at the end of a cul-de-sac overlooking a lagoon and so gives the house a greater sense of privacy than many of the other Oceanwoods homes. Also, this house has a nice large screen porch that accommodates a nice large table that easily seats six. Unfortunately, the screens are a bit worn with a number of holes in them making them less insect proof than we liked, but nevertheless, we ate most of our meals out there and with the fan running it was very pleasant.
Great location, easy walk to the beautiful beach. Nice property but needs better upkeep and a deep clean/maintenance inside and out. Two large cockroaches on the floors and a small one on the kitchen counter. A giant spider in a twin bed. Overgrown bushes and weeds on the patio. Lots of holes in the screened in porch. Air vents inside the house were coated in dust. Furniture was also well used. Beds were old and uncomfortable, pillows lumpy and old. The house was clean except for what is noted here. Great location really, needs some live though. Washer and dryer were new and worked great. We had a wonderful time, the beach was amazing.
The cottage was updated nicely. Comfortable, found dirty towel in linens, master bath toilet dirty. Upholstered & wicker furniture becoming a bit dated. Saw two rats (outside). Called Vacasa but said there was nothing they could do
cozy cottage, great location with wonderful screen porch
We love staying in the Oceanwoods cottages. The location of this one was terrific - end of a cul de sac, very private feeling with wonderful lagoon view from the screen porch. There is a small sunroom at the back that makes this cottage much brighter and airier than many others - lots of light in all the common areas. The kitchen is spacious and reasonably well equipped.
The whole place could use a thorough cleaning, the mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was horribly noisy making it unusable when trying to sleep and thus the room was quite stuffy. The AC compressor is loud and sits right outside the master BR as well. Also, there is a spider web of power cords and extension cords in the sunroom as well as in the living room which is a bit disturbing/worrisome.
