Fantastic location by Monkeypod, Wailea shops, and Beaches. Used the grill to cook bacon in morning. Check in was slightly confusing, had to call property management line to find the right unit....so its Building 16 you have to drive to for the lot.
The condo is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Itâs spacious, plenty of room for our party of 4. I like that it has 2 bedrooms and bathrooms plus the pull out bed and a washer/dryer inside the unit. We would definitely stay here again.
We all loved the condo! Perfect for 2 couples with separate rooms and bathrooms on either side of condo allowing privacy. Very quiet, well built building. The condo was very clean and we loved having laundry. Appreciated the welcome gift with starter coffee. Beautiful grounds with ocean views along the walking paths. Great communication with managemebt company. No problems at all throughout our stay! We will be back!
We loved this rental! It is just as gorgeous as it looks in the photos. The location is great, just a walk away from the Wailea Monkeypod restaurant and other great food and shopping. The pool was also recently remodeled and very warm! Maui Paradise Properties are the best property managers weâve ever worked with through VRBO. They are rapid and thorough communicators, which made the entire process easy-breezey!
We have stayed with Maui Paradise Properties several times and have always been satisfied. The Ekolu properties have been clean, easy check in, and great location!
We had such a wonderful stay in this getaway home. All was great except the part to find the correct building. Took over an hour to find but it made up after we walked in.
We had a wonderful time in Maui & this condo was perfect! It was very private and peaceful, which was great at the end of the day to relax after a day of activities and venturing around the island. The lanai was our favorite spot to sit and unwind at the end of the day. The entire complex is very well kept & even though you can't see the ocean from the condo interior, if you step out to the parking lot, you can get a great view of the water. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and having a washer/dryer was also a plus. The kitchen/living room area is nice & open, with modern kitchen appliances, and a good amount of dishes, glassware, and cookware. There isn't much for cooking spices but we managed. Also loved the small sample of Maui Blend coffee. I would definitely stay at the Tranquil Oasis again.
This condo is not accurately shown in photos. It is located right next to a very busy and noisy road. There is no view from deck because of overgrown trees and shrubbery. Lots of spiders and small mosquitoes. The condo itself was very nice and clean. We have stayed at this condo village 11 times and never been disappointed until this location.
We enjoyed our stay over the New Years holiday. The condo had a nicely remodeled living room and kitchen area and is just a short 5min drive to the nearest beach. Also the condo was stocked with beach chairs and a cooler (there wasn't a beach umbrella but we were able to make due without). We spent most our days at the beach as the condo pools didnât seem to be heated (or at least not to a temp warm enough for our kiddos).
Also the condo was a short 7 min walk to the best Mai tais on Maui (MonkeyPod). We had a great stay.
Wailea Ekolu condo, building 16, affordable Wailea location
We love Wailea but honestly can't afford the many $1,000 a night places along the beach. This condo is a good alternative if you want to be in Wailea and are willing to walk for 15 minutes or drive and park near the beach. Pluses: location in Wailea. Two large bedrooms with king-size beds and attached bath. Minuses: the windows do not have glass. They are screens with wood shutters that you have to twist to open and close (3 per window). The downside is that bugs and noise come in 24/7. The roosters crow at 5:30 am in January, and the road traffic and garbage trucks start early, as did the painters on our last full day! Plus, to let light in, you have to open the shutters. (And, the guy downstairs from us smoked, despite signs saying it was a non-smoking building.) It sounds minor and was fine for a vacation, but I would not buy a unit in
Wailea Ekolu Village. Also, this condo has very old kitchen cupboards, some of which are peeling and warped. The kitchen needs a remodel, really. But as I said to start, if you value being in south Maui and want an affordable condo, this place works great!
