Our unit at Ekahi was fabulous. Overall really great.Kitchen is very well equipped. View from the lanai and kitchen is great. Bed was very comfortable. Great beach chairs and umbrella. We love the direct beach access and the pool pavilion area. The washer was broken before we arrived so we had to work with management to figure out an alternative. Although an inconvenience, they did figure out a work around. We would return.

Beautiful and comfortable condo. Great view to watch sunset. Easy walk down to pool/beach area which is a very nice feature to have access to with the stay here. Only suggestion is the washer needed cleaning or better drying. Stayed for our honeymoon and it was awesome! Good spot in Wailea and close to Kihei.

Ekahi 17D “Do Not Rent”

We stayed 9 nights. The positive: We like Ekahi. It is a nice piece of property, great location, nice swimming pools and good access to the beach. It’s quiet and a lot of the views are great. The negatives: (17D) Poor AC, dirty carpet, extremely slow internet, noisy clothes washing machine, ants, not very well stocked
overall “just plain tired.” In Hawaii, you would expect air conditioning but, we were not able to control ours. An AC technician came to fix it while we were there and in his words: “I am not able to control the temperature either, sorry
this system is so old that it needs to be replaced.” To summarize: We’ve been to Ekahi a few times and this property has been the worst. We’ll be back but not Ekahi 17D.

Outstanding Ocean Views

Great unit with a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. Various repairs need to be done as most of the blinds are broken. Otherwise the unit had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation.

Beautiful vacation in 17D!

We have stayed in homes and condominiums throughout the world and this was the best one e have every stayed in. The highlight was the view from the balcony and kitchen. It was easy to spend hours in the balcony taking in the spectacular views of the ocean, islands, mountains, palm trees and beautiful flowers and landscaping. The pool and access to the nice beach were fantastic. We would definitely like to stay here again.

Great location and very convenient

Great property, spacious, beautiful view. Great for me and my husband to enjoy during our vacation. Easy walk to the pool and beach. Plenty of parking. The unit offers beach towels and chairs, umbrellas, balls, and snorkel gear. We very much enjoyed it. The property is a little bit dated, and doesn’t have cable tv or any access to streaming (unless you log in yourself). But other than that we truly thought the unit was a great value for the price and we felt very comfortable it the unit. We would recommend this to anyone and would stay here again.

A Celebration

We came to Maui with two other couples to celebration our 80th birthdays. Unit was neat and clean. Three small problems, management company dealt with them all promptly. TV, dishwasher, and closet door that came off its runner. Would come to this property again with no worries.

Good, not great

Priced as a premium unit but isn’t that. We rented 2 other units during this stay for extended family, the other 2 were less money but better appointed. Rugs really need a proper clean. Lights in shower and main bathroom need changing, e.g not bright enough to put contacts in. Cockroaches and gecko inside unit off putting.

Overall very nice.

This property was very nice. Bed was comfortable, provisions were generous, the footage and layout were great. Amenities worked very well and we had no problems. If I would change anything to make this place better, I would do the following: Chairs on lanai were not very comfortable and difficult to move around without the seats coming off the base. Bougainvillea off the lanai was not trimmed adequately and partially obstructed the beautiful view. It needed a trim.

Great Location, but missing a few important aspects

We have stayed at this property many, many times. Let's start with the positives: The location is ideal, however the prices keep going up. I have never paid this much for a 1 bedroom! Overall the place is nice, The unit has lots of beach equipment, it is clean and adequately appointed, however some key things like instructions on how to adjust the AC, very sub-par pillows and bedding, poorly draining sinks and showers, and a super loud laundry unit could be improved. The dishes were pretty but not practical, and only a small set made washing necessary frequently. My worst complaint is the service we received when we asked for some extra paper towels, dish washing/laundry pods and trash bags (we were left enough for 2 days in a 10 day rental stay) When I called to ask for these the property managers told me "no" they give you "starter" goods only... That is just cheap if you ask me, and having to spend more money on the island for these kind of products was a turn off. Of course after I bought new pillows, and all paper and washing items, I got a text saying "we are sorry, we will arrange to have more delivered" and on the day before our check out we received a bag of everything we needed more than a week ago... I wanted to give this unit a 5, but it needs more attention to detail and I will likely not rent it again .

Wonderful stay!

We just returned from two weeks in 17D. The condo is exactly as presented--very clean, cheery, and comfortable, and the ocean view from the balcony and kitchen window is fantastic. Although we did not cook hardly at all, the kitchen has all the basics one might need, and we appreciated that in addition to the coffee maker there was a French press! We also used the rice cooker a couple times. We've stayed at Wailea Ekahi several times before but in other units; we'll add this one to our list to return to! Wailea Ekahi is a beautiful and quiet property, and Keawakapu Beach is our favorite. A few small notes for the owner: the umbrella is broken and should be replaced; the smoke alarm was starting to beep and so battery should be changed; and the security codes for the property need to be updated (turns out there are several, not one). Mahalo! We cannot wait to return to your little corner of paradise.

Nice view- needs a good cleaning and updating

Good things first. Great location, the view it’s fantastic (specially after we asked for the overgrown buganvilla to be trimmed) The Manager was responsive and attentive. And the weather was awesome!! We’ve been going to Ekahi for over twenty years and I’ve stayed in different units so we have an idea what they look like and what to expect. The bad stuff. This place needs a good deep cleaning. The carpet by dining table is filthy with spots all over. There was a lot of dust. The AC filter has not been changed in a while. The patio furniture is old and falling apart to the point of being a safety issue when my husband almost felt backwards because of one of the chairs broke We were told that they were waiting for the ok from the owner to get new one
hopefully they have it by now. And the manager brought two newer chairs for us that unfortunately are too high for the table. But, we do appreciate her doing this. You spend a lot of time outside, so it would be nice to have something comfortable and safe that reflects the price of the place! Also, make sure you are given the right pool/beach code. It changes every month and we were given the old one (even though we were there in the middle of the month!). You will have a great time in Maui no matter what, but when you are paying big bucks for a place, you expect a bit more.
