The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and Katie was very sweet, making sure we arrived okay and had everything we needed. The place is close enough to the beach that you can bike, and centrally located for most outer banks excursions, so I would definitely stay again and recommend it to other people!

S wonderful. It is perfect for a couple, or couple with young kid. The host also had it stocked with the essentials, toilet paper, paper towels water, and even a few snacks, so you would be okay to come to the house first, then do your shop. Towels, sheets, all was provided and clean, and the decor is very nice as well. I will definetley stay again any year I go with only my husband and son. Great place.

Perfect spot!

The single room was spacious and attractively appointed. Everything was sparkling clean, and there were even fresh flowers! Katie was a marvelous hostess, letting us borrow some additional kitchen items and directing us to medical care for others in our party not staying in her place. The location has everything a person could want in easy access. I highly recommend for 2 people.

Immaculate and Handy Location

Exactly as described on VRBO. Immaculate and handy location for two retired folks. Very, very quiet! Away from the crowds and beach which was fine for us. Close to some trails and birding. We appreciated the many extra things that Katie offered in this rental, including snacks, waters, tea, coffee and chocolate. The backyard had 3 bikes which we did not use as well as outside chairs and hammocks. Thanks to Katie for offering your pleasant rental. If we are back at the OBX, we would like to come back.

Perfect experience!

The cottage was a perfect stay for my husband and I weekend vacation. Everything was so nice and clean and so comfortable! Location was perfect very close to the beach and restaurants. IF AVAILABLE, MUST BOOK!!!!! As the title suggests... Katie is the best! Katie when out of her way with exceptional hospitality. She was very responsive and helpful when we reached out with questions. She left plenty of snacks and drinks to avoid the grocery or an immediate meal. Even a personal note with candy! All information needed was provided in her page. The cottage is very chill and felt like our own little hideout with the backyard draped in foliage. We loved how it felt secluded from the main road. Conveniently located close to numerous beach access points. She also provides sufficient beach accessories to save from lugging ours along! Even while away, Katie was able to get us a bike pump in short notice! And let's not forget about your guidebook—it was beyond sufficient for the trip. Your recommendations were spot-on and helped us make the most of our time in KDH. Thanks again for the quaint stay. Can't wait to do it all over again!

Awesome place to stay!

Katie was more than accommodating for everything we needed! Beach supplies , snacks, toiletries. It was a beautiful spot for me and my girlfriend to spend our anniversary and you have plenty of privacy !

This was our first trip to Outer Banks. My two teenagers (13 and 14) and I. They did not want to leave. The cottage was stunning, the area quiet and still close to everything. Katie was an amazing host with great suggestions on where to visit!

This property was very secluded but close to all the great restaurants, beaches and activities which made my first Mother’s Day a great experience. The host was very attentive when I asked questions and the condo was very clean and modern. My family of 3 will definitely be coming back!

Adorable studio and wonderful host

This studio has everything you need in a great location. It is an adorable, clean and very well stocked studio. We really enjoyed how close it was to everything. Katie was a wonderful host. She was very accommodating and was always quick to respond to messages. We were celebrating our anniversary and she had cupcakes waiting for us when we arrived. Such a special touch. Also it was raining when we arrived so she had an umbrella waiting for us when we arrived. I would highly recommend her studio if you are visiting the obx. Thank you Katie.

Above and beyond!

This was a perfect place to stay! It was cute, clean, and comfy. There were all sorts of extras, like bikes, hammocks, beach supplies, snacks, etc. The kitchen is perfect for light meals but not well equipped for full meal prep, which is perfect for us (we pretty much go to the OBX just to eat seafood) but just something to be aware of if you’re planning to cook. The host was very helpful and responsive. This is an excellent place to stay!
