We rented a 3-bedroom cabin for 6 people (2 parents and 4 children aged 10 to 15) from Tahoe Rentals Company:
-Booking Changes: Initially booked for 8 days, we were informed a few days before our vacation that the cabin would only be available for 5 days due to the owner's request. This last-minute change forced us to alter our plans.
-We were provided only 3 rolls of toilet paper for the entire duration of our stay.
-While the kitchen was clean and appeared new, other parts of the property, including the front porch and two balconies, were not clean and had spider webs.
-Two porch doors were not lockable, posing a security risk. Although sticks were provided to secure the doors, one stick was too short, leaving the door partially open. Despite a staff member acknowledging the issue and promising a technician visit on Monday (we rented from Saturday to Saturday), no one came to fix the problem.
-The condo did not have air conditioning, and only three fans were provided for six people. Requests for additional fans or a portable AC were denied. This made the condo unbearably hot during the day and night.
-We were given enough laundry pods for only 4 days, despite an 8-day stay.
-The balcony insect screens were torn and not properly fitted, leading to mosquito problems. This issue was acknowledged by the staff but remained unresolved during our stay.
The check-out instructions were unreasonable given the rental cost, our experience with Tahoe Rentals was disappointing
