The Gardner Suite was spacious and on the whole clean and bathroom was spacious and looked like it had been recently renovated. Wenns was a good location to walk the high street and go the The Walks park. It was noisy at night and into the early evening. There was paid for parking opposite the establishment in the Saturday Marketplace car park, once I arrived, I left the car there until checkout but the cost of parking does add up ontop of cost of stay. It would be good if Wenns could negotiate a discounted rate for their guests. Shower water was not so hot and the staff dealt with the wall thermostat fault on day of arrival which was just done to new batteries needed. The sofa was dirty and stained and slight mismatch of furniture in the separate lounge area.
Nice that it is dog friendly accommodation and at no extra cost but then they don’t provide dog water bowl in the room but I always go prepared. Nice to have separate access into the building so not having to go in via the pub / dining area once you have checked in and have the keys.
